He will perform on Saturday, March 18th at Opal Divine's Freehouse (700 W. 6th Street) for the Ponderosa Stomp Party at SXSW. The event is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. There'll be a silent auction for the New Orleans Musician's Clinic, a non-profit organization that assists artists impacted by last year's deadly storm in the Crescent City. The Ponderosa Stomp is being previewed in Austin this year due to lingering devastation from Hurricane Katrina (a 3-day festival will take place in Memphis from May 8-10).
