Says Five.Bolt.Main lead singer Chris Volz: "I am really excited about
this next Five Bolt record; the songs we have written are insane. We are
also very privileged to be able to work with Chris Henderson as a producer.
His ear for melody is just what we need to complete the work. I also have
to say that I've never worked with a string section with the talent level
of Ronny and Alex. Wait until you guys hear this! We'll see you on tour

Gene's
Legal Kissoff |
TMZ reports: A kiss-and-tell lawsuit against
rocker Gene Simmons has been settled out of court. Simmons' former girlfiend
filed the suit against the KISS [bassist] in January 2005 in the wake of
a VH1 rockumentary about the band. In the show, Simmons brags about having
sex with 4600 women (saying "no woman was off limits") and calls himself
a "24-hour whore." Georgeann Walsh Ward sued him for slander after her
photo was featured 11 times in the show. Ward claimed she was portrayed
as a "sex-addicted nymphomaniac."
In a joint statement released Wednesday,
Simmons and Ward said they reached an "amicable resolution" of the case.
The statement said Ward received no money from Simmons and acknowledged
that he had no role in putting the show together.[see full story for more]-

Sum
41 Jr? |
PR reports: "irresistible pop punk hooks..."
and "rock and roll beauty" are two of the ways the music of Canada's
THE FLAIRS has been described. The band (Dawn on vox, Jen on drums, Gillian
on lead guitar, Ryan on bass) has been called "A sea of talent" and they've
set out to prove it with the release of SHUT UP AND DRIVE, their latest
Pacific/Warner Music Canada CD. Recommended tracks: "Under My Skin," "18
& Life," "Stinger."
Taking their own advice, THE FLAIRS are
motoring across America in support of the album, playing venues from West
to East before heading back up North to their Vancouver homebut not really
shutting up, as the band members will be quite vocal and verbal on stage
and in interviews; the drive part, however, is real! [see full story for
