Target Ziggy |
This direct relationship between Marley and Target will allow the album to be offered at the low price of $9.99 to Target guests. "One of my father's goals was to release an album independently. His plan was to do that after the release of his final album on a major label - unfortunately, he never had the chance," shared Ziggy. "This album and the way it is being sold is important to me in honoring my father's spirit. I am excited to be a part of this new relationship with Target."- Click Here for the Full Story

Motley Insider |
John Crouch, dubbed 'Stick' by the Crue members, opens up and tells how he dedicated a period of his life to ensure that his best friend in Mick Mars made it to number one. Acting as his chauffeur, bodyguard, roadie and more, Crouch engaged his brother-in-law Allan Coffman to manage the band, while he co-ordinated Motley Crue's first over-the-top stage productions. Acoustic Pixies |
One of the most influential American acts of the late '80s/early '90s, the Pixies disbanded for almost a decade before stepping onto the revered stage of the Newport Folk Festival for one of 2004's most highly-anticipated live events. Playing a completely acoustic set of such well-worn fan favorites such as "Cactus," "Subbacultcha," "Is She Weird," "Gigantic," "Wave Of Mutilation" and 17 more, Frank Black, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and David Lovering (the original lineup) stunned the crowd with their idiosyncratic magic. Special Features: A 21-minute mini-documentary of rehearsals for this debut acoustic performance deconstructing classic Pixies material including one song, "Debaser," which didn't make the final set list.- Click Here for the Full Story
Rainbow DVD |
The year was 1977. Guitarist Ritchie Blackmore had left Deep Purple in '75 to form Rainbow with vocalist Ronnie James Dio and drummer Cozy Powell (he'd break up Rainbow to rejoin DP in '83).This show, in front of a wildly enthusiastic German audience, is the only known live document of this lineup. The disc (a two-CD set of this show was released in June) includes eight complete performances-"Kill The King," "Mistreated," Sixteenth Century Greensleeves," "Catch The Rainbow," "Long Live Rock'n'Roll," Man On The Silver Mountain," "Still I'm Sad," "Do You Close Your Eyes"-spanning 100 minutes. Blackmore almost didn't make the show. He had to be literally smuggled out of Austria upon being detained by police there. - Click Here for the Full Story
Steve Earle DVD |
Armed with just his trusty guitar, harmonica and the kind of passionate and rebellious wit that has fueled such political artists as Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan, the DVD release of this historic set (the CD will be released first in July), includes material from his 1988 Copperhead Road breakthrough on into the present with such tracks as "Jerusalem," "Rich Man's War," "South Nashville Blues," "Ellis Unit One" and "The Revolution Starts Now," "Condi Condi," "Christmas In Washington" and more. Filled with his charismatic jocularity and outspoken bluntness, the 14 songs are imbued with earnest reflection, a world-weary philosophy and, above all, his own patented righteous indignation.- Click Here for the Full Story

James Brown CD & DVD |
Oh to be alive and in a James Brown audience in 1981! Now, through the magic of Eagle's heralded Montreux series, one can be transported to a moment in time when one man's overt soul captivated a crowd with the kind of righteous fervor heretofore reserved for Baptist congregations. In '81, Brown could still pull off the moves that inspired Prince, Michael Jackson and a few generations worth of funksters. No one, but no one, though, could ever touch Brown himself, and this 14-track 113-minute DVD document, originally released last October, is proof positive. The companion CD takes the 10 most exciting tracks purely for the funk's sake. Special Features: Three bonus tracks by The James Brown Band prior to his entrance in '81, plus two tracks from his 1995 Montreux appearance, "Living In America" and "Sex Machine."- Click Here for the Full Story

Suzanne Vega Montreux |
Out of all the pre-Lilith Fair female singer/songwriters, Suzanne Vega has had the most influence. Her surprisingly profound 1985 self-titled debut and its shockingly good Solitude Standing followup have oftentimes been quoted as setting the stage, so to speak, for all who followed in her considerable wake. Her legions of fans are diehard, with an almost fanatical tinge. Accompanied by full band, this 18-track 70-minute set, originally released last October, showcases her artistry, her unerring compositional prowess and her under-stated showmanship. Special Features: Three tracks-"Small Blue Thing," "Room Off The Street" and "Knight Moves"-from her 2000 Montreux performance.- Click Here for the Full Story

Brian Wilson Tribute DVD |
Picture the Red Hot Chili Peppers doing "I Get Around." Or Jeff Beck doing "Surfin' USA." This one-time-only eclectic concert, in tribute to the 2005 "Person Of The Year," Brian Wilson, has a wonderfully oddball lineup of musicians covering the former Beach Boy's music. Wilson himself chips in with five of his own compositions to close the show. Performers include Earth, Wind & Fire, Darlene Love, Richie Sambora, Barenaked Ladies (who perform their own "Brian Wilson"), John Legend, Jamie Cullum with Fred Martin & The Levite Camp, Backstreet Boys, Shelby Lynne, and a duet with Michael McDonald & the late Billy Preston.- Click Here for the Full Story
