One of the most influential American acts of the late '80s/early '90s, the Pixies disbanded for almost a decade before stepping onto the revered stage of the Newport Folk Festival for one of 2004's most highly-anticipated live events. Playing a completely acoustic set of such well-worn fan favorites such as "Cactus," "Subbacultcha," "Is She Weird," "Gigantic," "Wave Of Mutilation" and 17 more, Frank Black, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and David Lovering (the original lineup) stunned the crowd with their idiosyncratic magic. Special Features: A 21-minute mini-documentary of rehearsals for this debut acoustic performance deconstructing classic Pixies material including one song, "Debaser," which didn't make the final set list.
