sleazeroxx.com reports: AXL ROSE sparked a
riot at a concert after refusing to appear on stage until he had been given
a full roast dinner.
The GUNS N' ROSES singer kept the crowd
at Newcastle's Metro Arena waiting on Thursday night (19JUL06) for over
an hour in the sweltering heat as he tucked in to his meal.
His behavior didn't go down too well with
the thousand strong audience, who started jeering and throwing objects

Blabbermouth reports: MI6.co.uk reports that
AUDIOSLAVE/ex-SOUNDGARDEN frontman Chris Cornell has told a Finnish newspaper
that he has written the theme song to the 21st James Bond film "Casino
Royale".
Cornell will also perform the title track.
This would make him the first male lead vocalist to perform a 007 song
since A-HA in 1987 for "The Living Daylights".[see full story for more]-

AP reports: The arrest of the bassist for
Los Lonely Boys on allegations he assaulted his fiancee was all a misunderstanding,
the band's publicist said Sunday. Police arrested Joey "JoJo" Sacarais
Garza, 26, at an Austin hotel Saturday on charges of assault causing bodily
injury and possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana, authorities said.

Blabbermouth reports: METALLICA has made Blender
magazine's list of the "The 25 Biggest Wusses � Ever!" The list, which
was published in the magazine's July 200 issue, "salutes the most awesomely
wimpy musicians of all time." In the short write-up explaining METALLICA's
inclusion on the list, the Blender editors state, "The haircuts were lame
and the anti-Napster crusade lamer, but neither prepared fans for the soppy
bitchfest that was 'Some Kind of Monster': The once-throttling metalheads
dropped $40K a month on a touchy-feely life coach in a Cosby sweater who

PR reports: Look for the Gigantour --the brainchild
of Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine --to launch in the Northeast and to
work its way through 25 major markets before wrapping in mid-October. Megadeth
will return as the festival headliner on a bill that includes fellow heavy-hitters
Lamb Of God, plus Opeth, Arch Enemy, Overkill, Into Eternity, Sanctity
and The Smashup all confirmed for these mostly outdoor shows. Other second

Blabbermouth reports: Paul Cashmere of Undercover
News reports that VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen debuted some new
music at the House of Petals in Los Angeles this week.
Van Halen played Wednesday night (July
19) jamming with Patrick Leonard (on keyboards). Leonard is best known
for his songwriting and production work with MADONNA.
Undercover is told that Eddie and Patrick
performed what is best described as an "impromptu jam of rock fusion."[see

Gigwise reports: U2 are to head out on their
'Vertigo' world tour yet again in November and December.
The band will play rescheduled shows in
Australia, New Zealand and Japan which were postponed earlier this year
due to a family member of one of the band becoming ill.
The tour will be closed with a huge show
in Honolulu on December 9 where U2 will be joined by Pearl Jam. [see full

that Ill Nino, Godhead and Ra will be hitting the road together later this
summer. * The Serpenteens set to release their first full length album
"Dead Men Walking" Sept. 5th 2006 * One have replaced drummer Fish with
Gary Morrocco The Curve fame. * Hip-Drop? Reuters reports: Six months into
2006, and so far overall R&B/hip-hop album sales have suffered a 22.4%
drop to 53.8 million units from the 69.3 million units scanned during the
same six-month period in 2005.* Dropping Daylight kick off their summer
tour on Friday supporting Breaking Benjamin. On select dates Staind and

CMJ reports: Joe Lally, bassist for Fugazi,
the seminal post-hardcore band that announced its indefinite hiatus in
2003, is releasing There To Here on Dischord. The solo album, slated for
an October 9 release, was recorded at Inner Ear Studios by Ian MacKaye
and Don Zientara and at the Dischord House by MacKaye. MacKaye, Fugazi's
guitarist, also contributed on the album, as did Fugazi member Guy Picciotto.[see

PR reports: DEICIDE have decided to part ways
with current booking agent Tammy Taylor, putting "The Stench of Redemption"
fall tour on a temporary hiatus. However, the band are currently working
on securing a stronger, more comprehensive US tour to coincide with "The
Stench of Redemption" and are planning to hit the UK before the end of
2006. DEICIDE plan to re-schedule a full US tour for 2007 and are excited
to hit the road with the power of "The Stench of Redemption" behind them.
"The Stench of Redemption" is slated for release on 8/22 and has received
hails from metal's elite and fans alike, providing extreme guitar prowess
coupled with legendary drum work and the one and only, Glen Benton.-

in the world for the first half of 2006.
