PR reports: Veteran New York City street punks
The Casualties have been outspoken believers in right and wrong, and their
latest full-length, UNDER ATTACK, due Aug. 22 on SideOneDummy Records,
tackles topical subject matter with a fury and frenzy that only a true
punk band can. This mix of social commentary and hardcore punk rock has
and continues to be demonstrated on the main stage at the Vans Warped Tour
all summer long. They will be doing a 9-day run up-and-down the West Coast,
kicking off in Fresno on Aug. 18. A national "Punx Unite" tour is set for

Blabbermouth reports: SOULFLY has scheduled
a number of dates for a fall U.S. tour, with many more to be announced
to fill in the gaps. After SOULFLY plays the 10th annual D-Low Memorial
Festival on August 17 with quite of few special guests, they'll be gearing
up to destroy the ears of North American metal fans beginning in the middle
of September. FULL BLOWN CHAOS and INCITE will open the entire tour. WICKED
WISDOM will provide support on the first portion of the trek and SCARS
OF TOMORROW will take over their spot at the start of October. [see full

him. Alessandro Elide, [who] did an outstanding job filling in for Marius

PR reports: "Bleeding" is the first video
from IGNITE's new album "Our Darkest Days" that was released on Century
Media Records in Europe May 15th, 2006. IGNITE who have been crafting some
of the most definitive melodic west coast hardcore over the past decade
are also known for their no holds barred social and politically engaging
lyrics. This song and video is no different as the subject deals with the
Iraq occupation by the U.S. As bassist Brett Rasmussen explains, it is
about "the lies our Government told us to get us into a war without taking
the rest of the world's consideration into it." Vocalist Zoli Teglas who
wrote the lyrics has a younger brother currently stationed in Iraq where
as he explains "he is forced to risk his life driving Halliburton execs
to meetings that benefit the politicians and not the people."
The performance footage of the video was
shot in the blistering California Desert. interspersed with news footage
of the war and intense images, the message is driven home by director Chris
Sims (Lamb Of God, As I Lay Dying). See full story to check it out. -

PR reports: Help celebrate the 1st re-release
of Platinum selling recording artist Journey's catalog on August 1st with
the start of Journey's Album Restoration Campaign.
Journey continues its reign at the very
top of the short list of second generation San Francisco rock bands whose
music has truly stood the test of time. With over 43 million records sold
in the U.S. alone, Journey's rich archive of CDs and DVDs is one of the
cornerstones of the Columbia Records and Columbia/Legacy catalog. For the
first time in ten years, a major bloc of the Journey album catalog has
been newly repackaged. The band's fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh consecutive
studio LPs, the landmark INFINITY (1978), EVOLUTION (1979), DEPARTURE (1980),
and ESCAPE (1981) respectively - the latter two as expanded editions with
multiple bonus tracks - along with an expanded edition of their all-time
best-selling GREATEST HITS (1988, 14-times platinum, over 500 weeks on
the chart, now with one bonus track) will arrive in stores August 1st on
Columbia/ Legacy, a division of SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.

PR reports: Golem is a 6 piece Eastern European
folk-punk band whose sound might best be described as where Eastern Europe
meets NYC's Lower East Side. They've paired with JDub Records (Matisyahu,
Balkan Beat Box) and producer Emery Dobyns (Patti Smith, Antony and the
Johnsons, the Battles) to create Fresh Off Boat, an album in which contributions
from Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls), Mike Gordon (Phish), and Lenny Kaye
(Patti Smith Group) meld seamlessly into reworked Jewish, Gypsy, and Slavic
folk songs. Fresh Off Boat (a reference to how recently arrived immigrants
call each other F.O.B.s) hits stores August 22nd and notorious publications

CMJ reports: October 5 will mark the launch
of Anthology Recordings' all-digital reissue label, which it calls the
"first ever" of its kind. Anthology's website will provide buyers with
the ability to download full albums, individual songs (each costs 98 cents)
and original album art. Their first releases include albums from Swedish
psych band Pärson Sound, unreleased New York post-punkers China Shop
and the Minneapolis punks Suicide Commandos. The reissues will be available
on Anthology's website, although some can be accessed using online music
