(Blabbermouth) STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet has commented on SLAYER's decision to cancel their previously announced appearance at the third edition of the Monterrey Metal Fest, which was to take place Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Coca Cola Auditorium in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. SLAYER, who were scheduled to co-headline the event with STRYPER, cited "personal reasons" as the cause of the cancellation.

Commented Sweet: "We found out a few days ago that SLAYER pulled out of the Mexico festival. According to the promoter, it was due to the fact that STRYPER was on the bill.
