Kayne Vs Bush
andPOP reports: Kanye West, never one to shy away from expressing his opinions, has accused the U.S. government of forsaking its black population at Friday's "A Concert for Hurricane Relief."

The rapper declared that "George Bush doesn't care about black people" during a 90-second segment he did with comedian Mike Myers on the celebrity telethon for Hurricane Katrina survivors. Boycott Sharon
KNAC reports: A Bruce Dickinson fan site has launched a campaign to print an open letter to Sharon Osbourne in Billboard Magazine.

The post at www.brucefans.com says, "As fans of Iron Maiden (and music in general) most of us were appalled at the actions of Sharon Osbourne at the August 20th Ozzfest. Therefore, we started a website with a goal of having an Open Letter to Sharon Osbourne printed in Billboard Magazine - a magazine read by nearly every artist, label, radio station and record store around the world.

Metallica Molester Sentenced
KNAC reports: An Iraq war veteran was sentenced to three years in prison for molesting a 12-year-old girl he met in an [Metallica] chatroom.

Deputy District Attorney Megan Baldwin said the military service of Dario Ambriz, a former Marine lance corporal, helped lower his sentence from the maximum penalty of eight years. Floyd Reject Big Payday
Ananova reports: Roger Waters has revealed that Pink Floyd turned down £136 million to reunite for one last tour.

The band reunited to play together again at the Hyde Park Live8 concert in July.

It was the first time they had performed since 1981 when Waters left after a falling-out with other band members.

Kazaa Lose Case
NME reports: Music file sharers in Australia have been hit after a court ruled KAZAA users are infringing copyright.

The Federal Court instructed Sharman Networks, the file sharer's owner, to change their system to prevent future piracy.

Ruling against Kazaa. Judge Murray Wilcox said: "(It's) long known that the Kazaa system is widely used for the sharing of copyright files", adding the website appeared, "to encourage visitors to think it 'cool' to defy the record companies by ignoring copyright constraints". Gigwise reports: Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards says the band refused to play Live 8 because they were suspicious of Bob Geldof's political connections. 

The rock dinosaurs were begged to play the awareness-raising event at Hyde Park, but Richards felt that Sir Bob had too close links to politicians. He also hinted that the event was too hastily arranged.

Hellfest Refund Anger
Blabbermouth reports: An estimated 1,000 people still haven't received refunds on tickets from Trenton's canceled Hellfest concert, and many are complaining that the promoters are ignoring them. 

More than 3,500 fans who bought tickets at the Sovereign Bank Arena box office, through its ticket hotline or with a credit card have received full refunds.

Alfie Bus Crash
NME reports: ALFIE narrowly escaped tragedy when the band's coach was involved in a serious road accident.

The group were travelling to Glasgow following their show at Nottingham's Rescue Rooms (September 2), when the incident occurred.
