Bloodhound
Stalker Hunt |
Press Release reports: Just what makes the
ultimate rock band groupie? Many hours of unmentionable X-rated behavior,
we're sure. But for the #1 fans of The Bloodhound Gang who spend countless
hours in their chat rooms dissin and hatin while stalking the under-aged
girls, there is finally a reason to go outdoors: a Bloodhound Gang Scavenger
Hunt contest where you can put your useless BHG knowledge to sad use.
This hunt requires participants to use
whatever resources they can to solve puzzles in order to get their clues
which will lead them to the next set of confusing clues. These clues can
come in the form of a phone mail voice message, a locked safe deposit box,
a bootlegged CD or perhaps by bumping into a strategically placed Bloodhound
Gang groupie. Prizes include free pitchers of beer, tickets to the bands
upcoming NYC club show, and of course the lame Bloodhound Gang swag you
can only dream of buying one day. Drink specials through out the evening.

Illbreak
Debut Today |
i.e. marketing reports: It isn't just every
day that a band wins a regional competition with a recording contract as
the grand prize. But Atlanta based alternative rock band Illbreak did just
that with Imprint Records' "Search for the Next Rock Star" contest held
last summer. Imprint Records is the label owned and operated by 3 Doors
Down bassist Todd Harrell and his wife, Jennifer. After sifting through
over a thousand entries for the competition spanning six states and representing
11 rock radio stations, 11 finalists were selected and Illbreak was the
unanimous choice selected by the panel of judges made up of several industry
veterans, including major label A&R reps.
Illbreak's debut on Imprint Records, The
Flood, is due for release on September 6. The Flood was produced by an
impressive team consisting of Chris Henderson (guitarist for 3 Doors Down),
Paul Ebersold (producer of 3 Doors Down's The Better Life) and Geoff Ott
(engineer on 3 Doors Down's Away >From the Sun). The album's first single,
"How It Feels," is an emotive track balancing slick production, walls of
guitars and the powerful voice of lead singer Gareth Asher, and one that
is sure to put this new band on everyone's radar in a hurry. Other standout
tracks are the haunting and melodic "Wake" and "Carry The Light," the riff-laden
"Flesh & Bone" and the breezy "Safe." - Click
