Debut |
Capitol Records reports: NYC's louder-than-life
Morningwood will release their self-titled debut album, produced by Gil
Norton, on August 2nd.
The band, fronted by 23 year-old tempest
Chantal Claret, made their reputation in the city's clubs with a bumping,
grinding frenzy of a live show and instant anthems like "Take Off Your
Clothes," a dictate that some of their fans have been known to take literally.

Five
Bolt Main Studio Update |
Rock Ridge Music reports: Fans of the hard
rock band FLAW will be pleased to hear that lead singer Chris Volz's new
band, Five Bolt Main, is hard at work in the studio right now. Five Bolt
Main, who are based in Louisville, Kentucky, plan to release their debut
album on Rock Ridge Music this fall. They are in the midst of the recording
process right now at Louisvilles Canyon Studios. Canyon owner Chris Cassetta
is assisting with production duties.
Says Volz from the studio: "The sounds
are freaking incredible, the bass drum is booming, and everything is moving
along ahead of schedule. It's great how this is coming together, the way
I wanted to lyrically and musically stay in the same realm of emotions
as I did with FLAW, the same intensity and honesty. I am more proud of
these new works than I am with anything else I've done. Things are really
starting to take shape, and we can't wait to get to mixdown! This is gonna
be intense, slam in the face, emotional metal! Stay tuned as we get closer
to the release date."[see full story for the first installment of the Five
Bolt Main "making of the debut album" video]- Click
