Herald-Leader, METALLICA's "Enter Sandman" was cited in a City Journal
magazine story about the treatment at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, of prisoner
Mohammed al-Qahtani � known as the 20th hijacker on Sept. 11 � as having
been used during Qahtani's interrogation, saying it brought him to tears

AP reports: Good Charlotte has canceled an
upcoming Indonesian concert because of terrorism fears, concert promoters
said Tuesday.
The pop-punk rockers had been scheduled
to play in Jakarta later this month. They canceled the performance because
the United States and other countries have warned recently that terrorists
were poised to launch more bombings in the world's most populous Muslim

Blabbermouth reports: DROWNING POOL have officially
confirmed the departure of vocalist Jason "Gong" Jones less than two years
after officially bringing him into the band. Jones apparently exited the
group over the weekend, forcing the cancellation of a June 12 hometown
show in Dallas, Texas.
Manager Paul Bassman told Launch Radio
Networks that while DROWNING POOL was "very proud" of the album the band
made with Jones, 2004's "Desensitized", the relationship with the vocalist
"just didn't work out." Bassman added that DROWNING POOL already has another
frontman lined up, with the announcement of his name coming shortly.[see

press release reports: PIXIES were presented
with a Gold record last night (June 13) onstage during their show at the
Merriweather Post Pavilion outside of Washington, D.C. The award was made
in recognition of having achieved sales in excess of 500,000 copies for
their 1988 album, "Surfer Rosa." This is PIXIES second Gold award, the
first being for "Doolittle" which was originally released in 1989 and certified
in 1995.
PIXIES wrap up a three-week tour tomorrow
(Wednesday) at Agannis Arena in Boston. The band will then play a handful
of U.S. concerts in July, including the headline slot at Lollapalooza on
July 23 in Chicago, before heading off to Europe to play festivals throughout

Geldof branded concert-goers who are selling

This morning (June 14), numerous tickets

for a pair. However, it appears that music fans are hitting back, making
