No More Sleepovers for Jacko
Contact Music reports: MICHAEL JACKSON has vowed to never share his bed with young boys again following his child molestation trial victory, his attorney THOMAS MESEREAU has said.

Cipher System Lose 2

BBC reports: Bob Geldof has been threatened with legal action by ex-members of his old band the Boomtown Rats over alleged unpaid royalties.

Def Jam Appeal
AP reports: A federal appeals court on Tuesday slashed a $132 million verdict against recording company Island Def Jam Music Group and its former top executive to about $127,000. The dispute was about an unreleased record from rapper Ja Rule.

 The lawsuit came after New York-based TVT Records alleged that Island Def Jam's parent company blocked the completion of an album that Ja Rule and two friends tried to make for TVT in spring 2001.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Aversion reports: The Violent Femmes will soon have a DVD to add to their massive back catalog.

Crowbar Slave Video 
press release reports: Crowbar will film their second video to support their latest album Lifesblood for the Downtrodden in Miami, Florida on June 21st. The clip will be for album track "Slave No More and will once again utilize the talents of director John-Martin Vogel, who directed the album's first video for the song "Dead Sun." 

Additional camera footage is expected to be filmed at the band's Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale shows, both on their current tour route. Editing is expected to be completed early July with the clip ready for national and regional video outlets by the end of the month. - Click Here for the Full Story

Sanctuary reports: On December 13th, 1970, The Allman Brothers Band brought our nation's capital to its feet with their marvelously groovy sound. Recorded live at American University in Washington, D.C., with all its original members, The Allman Brothers Band brought their free-wheeling spirit and rollicking live show to its devoted fans. Now, 35 years later, The Allman's will release American University 12/13/70 capturing that magical night. [On Sanctuary Records, July 12th, 2005]

Roadrunner Update
Roadrunner Records reports: [edited for length] Trivium- The band will be filming the video to "A Gunshot To The Head of Trepidation" in Orlando at the end of the month. Ozzfest this summer. *** Still Remains - Of Love and Lunacy was released on May 3rd and has sold nearly 10,000 copies since. The band has been overseas with the Road Rage tour but will be back for extensive touring this summer. *** The Agony Scene - The Darkest Red came out on May 24th and sold just over 4,000 copies it's first week. This group out of Tulsa, OK will be on the Dirty Black Tour with HIMSA this summer. *** DevilDriver- The Fury of Our Maker's Hand will be out June 28th and people are freaking out with how good this album is. They just wrapped up a tour with Machine Head and will be on the inaugural Sounds ofthe Underground Tour this summer. *** Chimaira - Chimaira, the band's third album, will be out August 9th. The album is the logical next step for the band that earned the respect of Kerry King of Slayer, bringing brutality with every song. *** OPETH - Ghost Reveries will be released on August 30th. This is the latest signing to the RR fold. They will be on the Sounds of the Underground Tour this summer. *** SOULFLY - Dark Ages - September 20th. Mad Max is back with his most diverse record yet. *** Ill Nino - One Nation Underground will be out September 27th. The band will hit the road on a headlining tour this July. Ellis Hooks Done Recording
conqueroo reports: Ellis Hooks has completed a brand new Nashville-recorded album that will be released on August 9 on Evidence Records. Godson of Soul is a groove-oriented album featuring a few Nashville notables including Steve Cropper (who co-wrote "Was it Something I Said?" with Hooks and producer Jon Tiven); Memphis Horns trumpeter Wayne Jackson; superstar drummer Chester Thompson; and country legend Marty Brown, who sings a duet with Hooks on "Chainsaw," a song they wrote together. In addition, an answering-machine message that Bobby Womack once left for Hooks' producer finds its way onto the album.
