Ozzy Vs Maiden? |
"Went to Ozzfest in Mansfield yesterday and noticed something on the back of the official [Ozzfest] T-shirt. At the bottom of tour dates, the words 'Iron Maiden' were written in Japanese and were crossed out with red circle and a slash. Check out the photo I took here [NOTE: Thread has since been deleted from MAIDEN's message board]. This is clearly an anti-MAIDEN message, and this is an OFFICIAL T-shirt![see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Vereecke told "Celebrity Justice" by phone that Slash got lots of jobs while she worked with him. He co-hosted the "Jimmy Kimmel" show for a week and had a part in the cartoon "Kid Notorious".
So what went wrong? Vereecke said that Slash's wife, Perla Hudson, came between them, saying, "She's on a power trip. It's all about her. She doesn't want Slash to be involved with anyone but her." [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

The star's D12 bandmate Proof said Eminem wanted to concentrate on production from now on. He told the Detroit Free Press that Eminem's show at Slane Castle, Ireland on September 17 would be his last.
"Em has definitely got to the level where he feels like he's accomplished everything he can accomplish in rap," said Proof. "He wants to kick back and get into the producing thing. Why not bow out while you're on top?"[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Who F Bomb ABC |
In its complaint, the Parents Television Council said the band's performance July 2 included the "Who the f*** are you" line.
"The program was aired on a tape delay, which should have given ABC ample time to edit all obscenities from the concert prior to broadcast," said Tim Winter, executive director of the PTC. "ABC took steps to edit other profanity from the broadcast. But given the time of day that this program aired, the broad family appeal of the Live 8 event, as well as the program's PG rating, ABC should have been more diligent." Pixie Scores Weeds |
"This is a lot of fun and something I can continue to do when I'll embarrass my kids by being on stage," joked Santiago. "Scoring a TV series is a lot different than playing in a band, the pace and deadlines are completely different, but once you get into the groove, it's really great."
Hailed as "the most talked-about comedy in ages" by Newsweek, "Weeds" will air on Showtime Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00PM. [see full story for more including a Frank Black update and Pixies tour dates]- Click Here for the Full Story
...Lamest Songs Special |
Over the next two weeks we'll be rolling out the list each week day. We're starting backwards with final 10 and will be working our way back. Also to do something a little different we'll also be revealing one song from the Top 10 each week day in the Day in Rock report with comments on why each song was selected and came out at the top of the lame list.
1) Nookie - Limp Bizkit
Limp Bizkit is the poster child for all
that is wrong with popular music. Ever since they first infected popular
culture with their jock rock sounds, they have been responsible for some
of lamest music ever produced. "Nookie" takes the prize not only for the
lamest Limp Bizkit song but the lamest song period with lyrics that could
have easily been written by a 1st grader. In short, "Nookie" is the musical
equivalent to a fart joke. The only problem for Fred Durst & Co is
that the joke is on them!
