Feud |
Blabbermouth reports: ContactMusic.com is
reporting that MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil and drummer Tommy
Lee will head off on the group's reunion tour as enemies later this month
because neither one wants to forgive and forget.

still hindered by the very negative feelings they have about each other.
He tells men's magazine Blender, "I don't
like Tommy and Tommy doesn't like me. Tommy doesn't care to resolve things.
I don't care. I have no feelings about it either way.

Denied |
ArrowFM reports: Since 1991 there have been
rumors of a Paul McCartney "Love Songs" album - but now that project has
been cancelled. It was actually due out this month but Sir Paul reportedly
couldn't get clearance to use about a half-a-dozen Beatle songs. Since
the Beatles songs like "Michelle", "Yesterday" and "Here, There are Everywhere"
are credited to the Beatles (and not just Lennon-McCartney) the group's
company, which is owned by McCartney, Ringo Starr and the Estates of John
Lennon and George Harrison, would have to unanimously agree on it's addition
on any Beatles or non-Beatles release. [see full story for more]-

U2
is Sorry |
liveDaily reports: U2 drummer Larry Mullen
has written an open letter to fans in which he addresses the problems that
many encountered during last week's presale of tickets to the group's upcoming
world tour.
Last week, U2.com held a ticket presale
that was open to all paid subscribers of the group's fan club, regardless
of their length of membership. Thus, a number of apparent scalpers--whom
the band is now pursuing in an effort to reclaim the tickets-- recently
joined the club for the sole purpose of participating in the presale, and
were able to trump some longtime fans. The fallout from the presale led
the group to offer fans who were denied tickets a refund of their $40 fan-club
subscription (details of which are now posted at the band's site). Meanwhile,
in his letter to fans, Mullen explained that he personally is devising
a plan to avoid a similar scenario during future presales. [see full story

Spineshank
Mystery Singer |
Digital Noise reports: Spineshank drummer
Tommy Decker has announced that the band has found a new singer.
"In the past year we've written a lot of
songs and tried out tons of singers, some that you all have heard of and
some unknowns. A lot of these guys could've easily done the job of continuing
Spineshank where we left off, but we want more than that. So we held off
until we found someone that we really clicked with.
"We've been working with someone for a
while now and it's going really good (no names yet because of the legal
bulls***). It has all the elements that Spineshank has always had, but
it doesn't sound like Spineshank. We've never liked to repeat ourselves
and have always expanded our sound after every record and this time is
no different. [see full story for a lot more]- Click

Slapp of the Day: King of Slapps |
[This is an opinion article. If you don't
care to read it, skip it] I was surfing around the web today doing research
about the latest lame band 'buzz' for my day gig and I came upon some rather
interesting sites while using the new MSN Search (I was looking for info
on Jonathan Davis). Did you know that Hitler was a lesbian? I sure didn't.
But it says it on a blog site. Know what is scarier? Did you ever notice
that Barbara Bush looks like Winston Churchill with a wig on? That's neither
here nor there, but the Hitler thing reminded me of it. I know you are
saying right now, "Thats nice Scott, now get to the Slapping!" You got
it!
To wrap of my first (and maybe last) week
of Daily Slapps, and in honor of the 300 + people that sent in hate mail
complaining about them, this slapp's for you! I proudly slapp myself. And
I do commend some of you for originality! The ol' college intern line never
gets tired. That and the frustrated middle age guy works great too! (27
is old but not middle aged) Although I do agree with the worst opinion
writer in history bit. If you want a dissertation in a couple paragraphs,
you're in the wrong place! Go read the real columns on this site for substance.
[Since he is talking about his favorite
subject (himself), Scott ran over again. To read the rest of his worthless
column, click the full story link. Be sure to voice your opinion in the
Fan Speak if we should give Scott another week or not.] -
