Cause of Drug Abuse! |
MTV reports: Teens who watch R-rated movies
are likelier to smoke, drink and use drugs, according to the National Center
on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, which released
the findings of a survey on the subject on Thursday (August 18). Twelve-
to 17-year-olds who watch three or more R-rated movies per month are at
more than four times the risk of substance abuse than those who do not
watch R-rated movies. [Click the full story link to read more about the
ground breaking survey. On a side note, we conducted a study that found
that Universities waist entirely too much money each year conducting surveys
and overcharging students for sub par indoctrinations oops educations.

Love
Ugliest Dog? |
Day in Rock reports: Al Gore's ADD driven
cable TV experiment "current" ran a story this week on Courtney Love. However,
the "reporter" took a potshot at Courtney Love in the segue to the next
story about the world's ugliest dog by announcing that it was a Courtney
related story. Gotta love the biting humor there but the new cable network
does remain practically unwatchable to sober or non-schizophrenic viewers.
But that doesn't mean you can't submit your own video footage in hopes
that the channel will air it. See the full story link for details. And
who knows maybe that little quip will give the network its first lawsuit?-

Group. The label will release the band's 13th studio album, GENERATIONS,

In an interesting twist, GENERATIONS is
the first Journey album in which all the band members get a shot at being
the frontman. "Everyone is singing at least one, if not two songs on the
new album," says Valory, "we've been doing that on the past few tours and
the audiences love it. We're spreading the talent around. I like to think
of it as a blossoming of new singers who've just been playing their instruments
before." [see full story for more]
