Britney Paparazzo Shot

andPOP reports: A member of the paparazzi who hoped to snap pregnant pop singer Britney Spears was shot in the leg outside a Malibu house.

The paparazzo, identified as Brad Diaz, was 200 yards from the home where he believed Spears to be attending a bridal shower Saturday evening.

Guilty Jacko?

Gigwise reports: Two jurors in the Michael Jackson trial who are thought to believe the star was guilty are to write a sensational book about the trial.

Eleanor Cook, 79, is reportedly naming her book �Guilty as Sin, Free as a Bird', while 62-year-old Ray Hultman � who said after the verdict he believed Jacko probably molested boys � is calling his �The Deliberator'. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Maiden Face Plant

Blabbermouth reports: According to The Flint Journal, IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson slipped and fell face down Thursday night (August 4) at the Ozzfest concert in Clarkston, MI after galloping up one of several narrow staircases leading to elevated platforms stage right and left during "The Trooper".

"Quickly leaping up and running to the edge to assure fans he was unharmed, Dickinson led the sextet (energized by guitar alchemists Dave Murray, Janick Gers and Adrian Smith and busy bass thumper Steve Harris) through the band's early years," writes The Flint Journal's James R. Suge Fined

Gigwise reports: Cure vocalist and wrinkly mascara-wearer, Robert Smith, has revealed that the band are planning a new album to be released April 2006.

Foxy Reject Plea

Gigwise reports: Foxy Brown rejected a second plea deal yesterday that would have stopped her going to prison on assault charges.

Gigwise reports: Bleached babe, Gwen Stefani, is poised to hit the big screen again � this time with Sienna Miller and husband Gavin Rossdale.

Blabbermouth reports: According to Germany's Rock Hard magazine, CHILDREN OF BODOM laid down a cover version of the POISON hit single "Talk Dirty to Me" during the recording sessions for their new album, "Are You Dead Yet?". The song is expected to surface on the Japanese version of the new CD, which will also contain a special bonus DVD featuring exclusive footage from the making of the album, live videos and rare recordings. Blabbermouth reports: SLIPKNOT have tapped UNEARTH and AS I LAY DYING to open for them on their fall tour. Unlike SLIPKNOT's spring outing, which saw the Iowa-based nine-piece performing in arenas, the upcoming month-long trek will consist primarily of multiple dates in smaller venues. So far, only a three-show run in New York City has been announced:

Blabbermouth reports: "VH1 Classic Metal Mania: Stripped Volume 2: The Anthems" is set for release on October 18, 2005. With "Volume 1" containing all your favorite '80s metal ballads, "Volume 2" brings back all those shower sing-alongs in hard to find acoustic versions. Imports, live recordings, rare performances, and ten new recordings are all gathered on one fist-pumping powerfest, with a little more twang than pow.

Mastodon Summer?

BW&BK reports: MTV.com's Metal File reports that Bränn Dailor, drummer for MASTODON, has revealed that the band has been "collecting riffs and accepting ideas as they come" while on the road during this summer's Ozzfest.

He said Mastodon plan to take a few weeks off this September before hitting the studio, where they'll "dump those ideas out and start putting it all together. We've got a lot of good ideas." Dailor said the band hopes to release its Warner Bros. debut next summer.

He said of the festival: "I've never been before, Andy (Bell, bass player)'s been twice. We got our slot changed with Kasabian so we could watch them.
