AHC
Death? |
The PRP reports: Rumors abound that a member
of American Head Charge passed away today. Details are sketchy but band
guitarist Bryan Ottoson was reportedly found dead in his bunk, though this
has yet to be confirmed.
[the following came from a fan report on
the band's forum, not the article referenced here. Again like the PRP reported
this is not confirmed yet but here is the fan's report: Hey all, I registered
on these forums so I could fill you in on as much as I know. I went to
the Charleston, SC concert tonight @ The Plex, and while we were standing
in line, an ambulance came roaring by, and just before 8:00pm, they notified
us that the show was cancelled due to the death of a member of American
Head Charge. I have NO CLUE who it is, as they are notifying family. Don't
pm me and ask me, I don't know any more than that.]- Click

Greens
Vs iPods |
Dis reports: I'm no environmental crusader
myself - we only got a recycling bin in my office a couple of weeks ago
- but this message from The Green Guide seems to suggest that the makers
of the world's favourite personal stereo are taking the substantial piss:
Apple claims that environmental protection is a priority for them but they
actually lag behind companies like Dell and Hewlett-Packard in offering
take back programs for their products.
The diminutive iPod is a time-bomb for
our health and environment because of the toxic metals that will either
go into incinerators or landfills. [see full story for more]-

No, I did not do the Opel car commercial currently running on TV in Scandinavia.
I have a long-standing policy against my voice or music being used in commercials

Flynn
Apologizes To Slayer |
Blabbermouth reports: MACHINE HEAD frontman
Robert Flynn has posted the following message in the band's official forum:
"...SLAYER has helped this band more than any other band out there, period.
Kerry King, in particular, played a pivotal role in making that happen.
It is something I will forever be grateful for, even if we never are friends
again.
"So with that said, I am issuing an apology
to Kerry for the role I've played in our ongoing 'feud.' To be honest,
I can't even remember why it started. With every barb we trade, I feel
like I'm losing a part of my youth, and with it, a part of who I used to
be, before MACHINE HEAD came into existence....
