Plant
Vs Page |
Blabbermouth reports: LED ZEPPELIN singer
Robert Plant has hit back at his former bandmate Jimmy Page after the guitarist
criticised him for not being present when the legendary rockers were awarded
a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award earlier this year.
Plant, 56, is so busy with his current
musical projects he decided against flying to Los Angeles for the award
ceremony, preferring to rehearse with his new band in England.
He says, "Jimmy had a bit of a go at me
for not being there, but what can you do? What I'm doing now is more important
to me.
"It's great to look back and smile. But
middle-aged self-congratulation is very dangerous." [see full story for

Jacko
Bribe |
AP reports: The stepfather of Michael Jackson's

But the stepfather said when he sought
money for the family, he was accused of blackmail.
The stepfather took the stand as the prosecution
shifted from witnesses who alleged past improprieties by Jackson back to
the current allegations that the singer molested a 13-year-old boy in February

Scott
Gottlieb RIP |
Punkbands reports: Bleed the Dream posted
this on their website today: On Sunday, April 10, 2005, Scott Gottlieb
lost his battle with cancer. He had been fighting it since May 8, 2004
and was doing better and awaiting a bone marrow transplant. Then about
a month ago he got an infection that he could not beat. It attacked his
lungs and then the rest of the organs in his body.
Somehow in all his pain and suffering he
did the most "punk rock" thing we've ever seen: he dragged himself out
of his hospital bed to record all the drum tracks on our new album[see

Bluegrass |
BW&BK reports: On May 31st, CMH Records
will be releasing Back In Bluegrass: The Bluegrass Tribute to AC/DC.
According to the label, the gutsy lock-step
stomp of AC/DC's music fits wonderfully into the bluegrass two-step and
there's plenty of pickin' goin' on to keep even the pickiest quitar aficianado
grinnin' from ear to ear. Slap it on and hit the highway to hellbilly heaven.
