Crafted by Indianapolis-based Blink 182kulele, the 10-track covers album is not only for the ukulele fan; the band's renditions have an island feel, thanks to the synthesized steel drums. Oh, and the vocoder does lend a little Tom DeLonge feel to the vocals.
But it wasn't just classics that were covered for the album. You'll also find an interesting take on Blink's newest little diddy, "Built This Pool" as well as "Olde English 800" by Alkaline Trio, "I'm Not Hungover" by Tumbledown and "I'm An Alcoholic" by Dent May. Read more here.
"So the question is 'is it the show or the music'", Roth begins. "When we get on the road with Van Halen this is always a pivotal question - at what point does the show distract from the music because what Van Halen is is a club band playing to a club audience on massive scale.
"You can say it's a selection of songs with a narration, I break the fourth wall constantly and talk directly to you and turn and face the camera and describe ironically what is or isn't happening - or you could look at it as a speaking one-man show with really great songs - it alternates in between the two and too much visual can distract from that."
Roth also tackles the currently hot topic of fan fiction, which is created by fans of a particular subject or theme - music artist, TV series, etc. - and has taken off since the advent of the internet as writers combine talents online. Watch the episode here.

While no specifics have been provided, the singer revealed on Snapchat that she has a new label. "Contract time!!" Ora wrote on Snapchat above a picture of two flowers covering what appears to be a new contract.
In December of last year, Ora filed a complaint against her label, Roc Nation (which she signed to in 2008), which accused the company of failing to support her. "When Rita signed, Roc Nation and its senior executives were very involved with her as an artist," read the complaint.
"As Roc Nation's interests diversified there were fewer resources available and the company suffered a revolving door of executives. Rita's remaining supporters at the label left or moved on to other activities, to the point where she no longer had a relationship with anyone at the company." Read more here.

Swift not only showed up at their wedding, but she performed a stripped down version of her single "Blank Space." Now, the DJ playing the couple's wedding has opened up Swift's appearance.
Speaking with Billboard, Michael Klebacher said, "Taylor knew exactly why she was coming there. She knew that the groom, who's also in the military, is a superfan, and so is his wife. When his sister told this to Taylor, she was able to convey this."
Swift coordinated the surprise with Singer's sister, Ali, over the last few months after receiving a heartfelt letter. In the note, Ali explained that her brother and his wife got married in a hospital so their mom wouldn't miss out on the big day, and that Max and his mom danced to Swift's "Blank Space" at the wedding before she died.
Klebacher explained organizers kept Swift's appearance under wraps so paparazzi wouldn't get wind of it. Even he didn't know she'd be showing up.
As to any haters out there who think Swift was only doing this as a stunt, he clarified, "Nothing that I've seen would indicate that at all. I'm not seeing anything other than complete altruism."

One of the app's features is an arcade-style trip through Weezy's beloved hometown of New Orleans. It will also feature a soundtrack curated by the Young Money general. Some of the music production was handled by Nesby Phips.
Wayne tells RapUp, "I'm super excited to drop my first mobile skateboarding game 'Lil Wayne: Sqvad Up' as a way to share my passion for skateboarding. It's also special to celebrate all that makes my home of Hollygrove and New Orleans such a dope place."

After a relaxed Indian-sounding melody kicks off the track with strings, Snoop drops a big beat while Wiz leads off with the first verse. He raps, "My weed man got the hook up/ Rolling up another pound, aight time to look up/ Big a- joints, the ones that leave you shook up/ So much weight that now I'm doing kush ups."
Snoop follows with the second verse that talks about smoking out instead of doing other kinds of workouts like Tae Bo. Really, who has the time? In addition to the track's underlying eastern melody, "Kush Ups" briefly samples Luke's "I Wanna Rock (Doo Doo Brown)."
Cool Aid drops July 1 and the High Road Summer Tour kicks off in mid-July. Listen to "Kush Ups" here.
On "Intro," it sounds like Troy Ave is rapping his verses from a jail telephone. "Locked in the jail but I'm gonna get free/ I wear icy gold chains, can't no brass break me/P-- n-- tried to assassinate me / I took the gun from him and turned the tables 'round like a G," he raps according to MTV News. Elsewhere on the track, Troy keeps stressing that he's innocent, unless they can charge him with being real.
To close the mixtape, Troy returns on "Outro" with a more serious tone in his voice. He doesn't rap but instead speaks to listeners. "And the world will know the truth, everybody will know I'm innocent. I know I'm good because my faith is in God. I ain't one of those n-- that pray when times is bad, I been praying," he said.
In late May, Troy pled not guilty to attempted murder charges after a shooting at T.I.'s show left one person dead and three injured, including Troy. He is currently being held without bail. Listen to Free Troy Ave here.

During the press conference, Prince discussed how he came about helping on Ali's project and his response to the request. 'My friend' called me a couple of days ago and asked me. He said, 'Muhammad wants you to' -- and I said 'Yes,'; I didn't even let him finish. He could have said, 'mow the lawn,' and I would have been down with it. Muhammad's my hero. He has been since I was a child." Read more here.
"I've heard two or three songs from her new record, which she's making with [producer] Mark Ronson, and it's absolutely brilliant, so you're gonna be really happy when you hear that later in the year or early next year," John said on his Beats 1 podcast, according to Idolator.
In late 2015, Billboard reported Tony Bennett and Gaga would be collaborating on another jazz album together, this time featuring Cole Porter standards. Rumors have since been circulating that Gaga would release that album first before she shared her latest solo creation. It seems that with John's latest announcement, a 2017 release date is more than possible. Read more here.
It was only a matter of time before CBS late night host James Corden invited Lin Manuel Miranda to join for a Carpool Karaoke. on Monday night, special guests Jane Krakowski, Audra McDonald and Jesse Tyler Ferguson joined Miranda (who rode shotgun, of course) to belt out famous showtunes.
Broadway hits like Rent and Les Mis had their moments while the quartet performed a rousing version of "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." The 70th Annual Tony Awards are just days away and host James Corden is already making beautiful music with the Great White Way's best talents. Check it out here.

Pesch says: "We spent endless hours, days and nights working on the DVD, because we wanted to present a real highlight for all rock and metal fans for the 30th anniversary. We took care of every detail.
"It began already with the bombastic stage in Wacken, we worked one year on its design. In Dusseldorf, we even celebrated two nights in a row. One 'Classic Night' with a 40-piece orchestra and one 'balls to the wall' rock show on the second evening.
"It continued subsequently nonstop - with an anniversary tour, with led us to Russia, South America and my second home, the USA, among others." Watch the video here.
I wrote "Warrior" at the end of a long relationship. It came from a feeling of helplessness and anger. I wrote it as just an acoustic song with an odd time meter. It just seemed to fit how I was feeling.
I remember starting the song in my tiny studio apartment in Boston after having a conversation with the person ending our relationship. He told me that he knew it was hard but that I was strong and I would get through it. I was angry that someone would call me strong when that was the very opposite of how I felt.
When I brought the song into the studio, it transformed into the sort of epic arrangement that you hear on the album. I still like the juxtaposition of how cinematic and strong the arrangement is versus the state of mind from which the song arose.
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself here and learn more about the album right here!
