Lil Wayne Announces Mobile Skateboarding App 'Sqvad Up'
.
(Radio.com) Considering Lil Wayne is battling his record company for money rightfully owed to him, it's no wonder he's taken to new avenues to diversify his income. The New Orleans rapper recently announced he is developing a mobile skateboarding app titled Lil Wayne: Sqvad Up. One of the app's features is an arcade-style trip through Weezy's beloved hometown of New Orleans. It will also feature a soundtrack curated by the Young Money general. Some of the music production was handled by Nesby Phips. Wayne tells RapUp, "I'm super excited to drop my first mobile skateboarding game 'Lil Wayne: Sqvad Up' as a way to share my passion for skateboarding. It's also special to celebrate all that makes my home of Hollygrove and New Orleans such a dope place." "I started skateboarding at 29, not just because I thought it looked cool, but also because I wanted to be able to inspire kids to get outside and play," he continued. "Skating is a perfect way for kids today to stay out of trouble and be positive and active." Read more here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
