MTV reports: "Miley, who appeared to have admitted to MTV News earlier this month that she would be involved in the flick (yes, we took her 'no comment' to heart!), is supposed to shoot on set on October 16."more Before all of the protest from angry parents start, Gossip Cop goes further and "confirm that in the current script, Cyrus has one scene, and in it she wears the same dress to a red carpet event that Kim Cattrall's character buys to look 'hot and young.' In the script, Mario Cantone's character Anthony responds by exclaiming, 'Mother of God: She is wearing the same dress as Hannah Montana.'

Not that we're judging, mind you. This is ruddy Madonna we're talking about. Let's face it, short of long-division, there's nothing that she cannot do. Except wear trousers. And not grind her hip bones into a fine powder, as she dry humps her dancers in every video. Madonna currently has five children; her two biological ones Lourdes and Rocco, and her two adopted kids Mercy and David. Then there's the fifth. Jesus. Whom no one seems to realise must be some other child she adopted. We've read somewhere he's supposed to be her boyfriend, but that's just silliness if ever we heard it. Jesus is clearly still a child, and he actually appears to be shaving off peach fuzz each morning, in lieu of something rugged-looking that more closely resembles facial hair.

Monsters of Folk began as folklore of sorts, when James, Oberst, Ward and Mogis did their first run of shows together in 2004, affectionately known amongst friends and crew as the "Monsters of Folk Tour." While entertaining audiences coast to coast, the foursome vowed to make their way to a studio at some point after the tour's completion. Instead, the songsmiths went on to individually release some of rock music's most exciting and essential albums of the last five years Bright Eyes' I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning & Cassadaga; My Morning Jacket's Z & Evil Urges; M. Ward's Post War and Hold Time.

Influenced by the new wave stylings of Devo, Polysics founding member Hiroyuki Hayashi, aka Hiro, knew he had to form his own band after listening to the Akron, Ohio band. "I was shocked by it," Hiro says of his first experience with Devo. "I thought it was so much more punk than just acting like a gang by greasing one's hair. I was so impressed, and I thought, 'I want to do new wave punk dressed in a jumpsuit like Devo!'" Formed over ten years ago, Polysics (Hiro on vocals, guitar, programming; Kayo, synthesizer, vocals; Fumi, bass; Yano, drums) has released eight full-length releases in their native Japan. The band, now signed to MySpace Records, released the definitive Polysics compilation POLYSICS OR DIE!!!! VISTA in 2007 which went on to become their best selling U.S. release. - more on this story
The songs on this album are sweet and intimate, written like personal letters composed during Peter's travels across the US, Europe, & India. According to Peter: "Even the most placid music has to have some sense of longing, otherwise it's just boring; a close friend once told me if there was bumper sticker for me it would read 'RELUCTANT GYPSY'." Peter completed Traces swiftly, only 6 months after releasing leavetaking in 2008. Apparently, Peter's travels are a source of inspiration, be they reluctant or not!

A single, "Edward Dunn" from this new album, Absence, recently debuted on the KINK.FM Local Music Spotlight. Dean Kattari, APD/MD/KINK.FM said "I think the new album is very good, it was hard to pick just one song for airplay. That's a good problem!" The single, "Low is Under", from the band's first album Rise and Fall, has also been featured on the KINK.FM local music spotlight and was included on this year's KINK.FM Plug In Portland CD. To promote that CD, the band also played on the KINK.FM CarToys/Aftershock stage at the Oregon State Fair.

This official CMJ showcase builds on Audible Treats' foundation as a leader in digital marketing and online and print publicity. Speaking about the inaugural showcase, Audible Treats President and Co-Founder, Michelle McDevitt, said, "We're excited to be able to bring so many top-notch names under one roof while keeping ticket prices low for the fans. We're honored to have Souls of Mischief fly out for one special night in the midst of the West Coast leg of their Montezuma's Revenge tour just to give CMJ goers a sneak peak of their forthcoming Prince Paul-produced album." Co-Founder and Director of Marketing, Gavin Rhodes, adds, "Our line-up demonstrates the depth and breadth of our clientele and we're excited to bridge the gap between legendary veterans such as Souls, AG, and Sadat with the leaders of the new school such as Kam Moye, Finale, and Oddisee. As an official CMJ-sponsored showcase, up to 50 CMJ badge-holders will be permitted free into the show. Tickets, which can be bought at Fat Beats Records (406 Ave of the Americas in NYC) or at SPSounds.com, will cost $5 in advance and $10 the day of the show. The album was released on Fueled By Ramen in partnership with Photo Finish Records, and Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low's new imprint, The Party Scene. The Friday Night Boys just finished a tour with Cobra Starship and almost done with their UK tour. Late 2008 they released an EP titled That's What She Said. The five-track EP was highlighted by Chasing A Rock Star, which the band performed live on MTV's TRL during its unsigned bands episode in July of 2008. MTV continues to show its support, recently including the band in its 2009 Rock Rookies feature.
Forming in May of 2009, it's hard to believe that this fresh-faced group of musicians have already paid their dues at some of the most reputable NYC venues and played alongside big name indie acts such as Brazilian Girls, Mixel Pixel, Your Vegas, and Wild Yaks. Full of innocent fervor and danceable angst, the band's Strangers EP evoke a moody electro pop luster layered in hints of new wave atmospherics, reminiscent of M83, Blonde Redhead, The xx and New Order. Fugitive Souls will be all up in NYC's face this October with a residency at Webster Hall's The Studio on Oct. 12th and Oct. 19th, followed by a supreme CMJ showcase at Union Pool on Oct. 21st with the likes of Cale Parks, Takka Takka, Lemonade and Little Girls.
