Forming in May of 2009, it's hard to believe that this fresh-faced group of musicians have already paid their dues at some of the most reputable NYC venues and played alongside big name indie acts such as Brazilian Girls, Mixel Pixel, Your Vegas, and Wild Yaks. Full of innocent fervor and danceable angst, the band's Strangers EP evoke a moody electro pop luster layered in hints of new wave atmospherics, reminiscent of M83, Blonde Redhead, The xx and New Order.
Fugitive Souls will be all up in NYC's face this October with a residency at Webster Hall's The Studio on Oct. 12th and Oct. 19th, followed by a supreme CMJ showcase at Union Pool on Oct. 21st with the likes of Cale Parks, Takka Takka, Lemonade and Little Girls.
Make sure to get a dose of the live stuff, because having your friends talk about a Fugitive Souls performance falls mega tons short of the real deal.
