The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing, also provided a glimpse inside Jackson's rented mansion, describing the room Jackson slept in as outfitted with oxygen tanks and an IV drip. Another of his bedrooms was a shambles, with clothes and other items strewn about and handwritten notes stuck on the walls. One read: "children are sweet and innocent." The official said Jackson regularly received propofol to sleep, relying on the drug like an alarm clock. A doctor would administer it when he went to sleep, then stop the intravenous drip when he wanted to wake up. On June 25, the day Jackson died, Dr. Conrad Murray gave him the drug through an IV sometime after midnight, the official said.

Carey's "Memoirs," first slated for an August 25 release via Island Def Jam, will instead be available September 15, according to the Universal Music Group business-to-business website. Carey's new single, "Obsessed," is at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Combs said via a video interview with MTV News released last week that his project has been delayed partially because it's "Jay-Z time and Drake time -- enjoy those guys. But the 'Train' is coming, baby," he warned. "Get your ticket, you don't want to be left out."

Waking Up In Vegas, the fourth hit single from the album, is this week's No. 1 most-played record on the mainstream top 40 pop radio stations across the country, an extraordinary feat of late-game staying power for Perry, whose story began, amazingly, a full fourteen months ago with the official release of Katy's first worldwide No. 1 hit, "I Kissed a Girl." With the album's second single, "Hot N Cold," also a No. 1 in the format, Perry is only the fourth artist in the history of Billboard's mainstream top 40 airplay chart to have scored three No. 1s from a debut album: Katy joins Ace of Base, Avril Lavigne and Lady GaGa in this accomplishment. Perry has also completed taping an episode of MTV's signature Unplugged series for cablecast this year, and shot a special in-studio performance for Clear Channel Radio's online Stripped feature. And she continues to dominate the magazine covers of 2009, most recently Billboard, Paper, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan and Complex. Also in the upper reaches of the national pop chart, Perry is the co-writer of Kelly Clarkson's current single, "I Do Not Hook Up," from the No. 1 album, All I Ever Wanted.

Fans submitted 30 second "Bubble Tweet" videos and the eight winners were invited to his Platinum Sound recording studio Saturday where they spent the day recording remixes. Wyclef's version will be available through on Itunes in August and featured on both a forth-coming mix tape this September with DJ Drama and the upcoming LP, "Wyclef Jean" in January 2010.
Spanning three nights, the festival will bridge two continents, highlighting the current French music scene in the U.S. with a series of performances running the gamut from hard-hitting electro to more traditional fare. September 23 and 24 will be devoted exclusively to emerging talent from the indie pop/rock and folk scenes, including performances from dance-pop provocateur Sbastien Tellier, whose latest album, Sexuality, was produced by Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo; piano aficionado Gonzales, the multi-faceted virtuoso, who is equal parts powerful crooner and hip-hop singer, as well as Grammy-nominated arranger/producer for Feist; and Cocoon, a male/female folk duet from the Auvergne mountains, whose music echoes American folk greats such as Elliott Smith and Sufjan Stevens. Night number two will belong to the radical, loungey reinterpretations of Nouvelle Vague, as the collective led by producer Marc Collin presents "Hollywood, Mon Amour," a tribute to 1980s film soundtracks. The band will put their spin on such classics as "Eye of the Tiger," "Flashdance... What A Feeling" and James Bond's "A View To A Kill." The D, a Finnish girl/French boy duo with panoramic cultures and 2008 sensation in France, will kick off the evening alongside electro-pop chanteuse Emilie Simon, a multi-French Music Award winner and composer of the "March of the Penguins" soundtrack, now based in New York.

A founding member of the legendary San Francisco band Sons of Champlin and a singer-songwriter with six critically acclaimed solo albums to his credit, Champlin relishes the opportunity to return to his old stomping grounds on this tour. "A few years ago, I was signing a stack of press photos and going through them at such a clip, I was using only two letters from each name - and I realized that I was signing 'BICH,'" recalls Champlin. "I'm really looking forward to spending some time with fans and hearing what they think of the new music. And I'll be BICHIN whatever they want me to on this tour!" - more on this story

LaMontagne is also working with Tickets-for-Charity to offer fans a unique opportunity to buy front row seats while supporting leading charities. A portion of each package purchased on TicketsforCharity.com will automatically benefit The National Children's Cancer Society plus up to three partner charities of the fan's choice. LaMontagne is proud to be collaborating with this charitable platform to provide fans with an easy way to access prime concert seats while supporting the causes they care about in the process. This will not be the first time LaMontagne has played accompanied by an orchestra; he recently appeared in front of a sold-out crowd earlier in July at the Hollywood Bowl with the Bowl's Orchestra.
The dates follow the recent release of Pleasure P's long awaited debut album, "The Introduction Of Marcus Cooper." The collection which features the #1 Urban hit single "Boyfriend #2" was a #1 R&B smash on the iTunes Store upon its June release. "Under," the latest single from "The Introduction Of Marcus Cooper," is looking like yet another blockbuster for the Miami-based singer. The track recently reached the top 20 on the Urban airplay charts. In addition, a companion video directed by Erik White (Diddy, T.I., Chris Brown) is currently streaming on
