antiGUY gives his top 5 list of music stuff. Could be songs, people, a stupid trend... nothing is sacred to antiGUY
Once again this month we went to the iconoFAN trenches to come up with the Top 5 list. Some our regular readers thought a "Top 5 Artists People are Afraid to Admit They Like" list might be fun to explore, so here we are! We all know about guilty pleasures, the CD's you hide from your friends when they come over, that you listen to secretly to in private. Well here are some of the bands our readers came up with (ok I might have added one of two that they wouldn't admit to). But feel free to add you own in the Fan Speak section. Top 5 Artists You're Afraid to Admit You Like 5) Five way tie: Marilyn Manson, Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback, Travis and Creed. 4) Linkin Park (I've personally had several people admit to me that they can't help it, they really like these guys, even seasoned musicians) 3) Shania Twain 2) Limp Bizkit And the Number One Artist People are Afraid to Admit They Like Eminem By far the most mentioned artist! Some of the comments: "He is such a little twit but I find him quite hilarious" - smicdivvy "I find him entertaining" - greenmuse "I'd never admit it to anyone but you guys...my friends would kick my ass!" - LadyMuck "I like his stuff quite a bit. Unlike other mainstream aritists he actually tries to push the envelope" - Scott Stapp's Ego Some runners up include: Jimmy Buffet, No Doubt, Garth Brooks, 2Pac, Coolio, Motley Crue, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Hootie and the Blowfish, Spice Girls, Soggy Bottom Boys, Pet Shop Boys, Bloodhound Gang and Wheatus. Curiously absent, all forms of boybands (N Sync, BSB, Hanson etc), pop-tart (Britney, Christina, Mandy), Sisqo or the Baha Men. No takers for Sea Lion or Pariah either and with the exception of Motley Crue no one fessed up to enjoying a good old fashion 80's glam-rock band! |
