Yes there is a difference between maturing musically and selling out. Bands have to evolve or they become boring, they also have the natural tendency to try new things. However, when a band changes with the sole aim of selling more cd's or concert tickets, that my friend is a sell out. Now take a look at my list of the top 5 ways to tell if a band has sold out. Their ultimate goal is to be number one on TRL (with Carson Daly) And the number one way to tell if a band has sold out... They have Carson Daly on their speed dial.
