Sammy Hagar Opens Sammy's Island at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas

A poolside tropical oasis in Las Vegas dreamed up by rock 'n' roll superstar Sammy Hagar? Count us in! The hippest new place to party in Vegas is Sammy's Island, a tiki bar that's adjacent to the newly-redesigned pool at Palms Casino Resort where everything is infused with Hagar's signature Baja beach vibe, from the spirits and the food to the fabric patterns found in each of the Hagar-themed Red Rocker Bungalows.

Sammy's Island opened in mid-May 2024 with a special grand opening celebration that featured a live performance from Red Voodoo, a Sammy Hagar tribute band. Of course the Red Rocker himself made an appearance, jumping on stage to perform his big hits "There's Only One Way to Rock" and "Your Love is Driving Me Crazy" with Red Voodoo and he brought along his pals Michael Anthony (Van Halen, Chickenfoot, Sammy Hagar and the Circle) and Vic Johnson (the BusBoys, Sammy Hagar and the Circle) to really wow the crowd. Sammy's Island will be hosting other concerts throughout the summer including a July 20 All Star Jam hosted by Sixwire and featuring Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Matt Scannell of Vertical Horizon, Emerson Hart of Tonic and the Rembrandts.

Thirsty patrons at Sammy's Island can indulge in libations featuring Hagar's own line of spirits, like the Maui-jito that's made with Sammy's Beach Bar Rum, or try a margarita made with Santo tequila, the brand founded by Sammy and Guy Fieri. Cans of Sammy's Beach Bar Cocktails and his new Mexican-style Red Rocker lager are always available. And the food on offer is beyond ordinary too, with things like mahi mahi tacos and the Beach Club Burger made with Wagyu beef being popular menu items. Sammy's Island at Palm Pool has lots of daybeds and cabanas and there are four ultra-exclusive Red Rocker-themed cabanas available. Sammy's Island is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Palms Casino Resort guests of all ages are welcome during daytime operations although an adult must accompany anyone under 18 years of age (21 for non-hotel guests.)
