Cayamo - Feb. 3-10, 2020 - Miami to Antigua and St. Croix, US Virgin Islands
Cabins are still available for the Cayamo cruise, one of the most exciting events of 2020 for fans of Americana music and more. The legendary pop music genius Brian Wilson of Beach Boys fame will headline the cruise that'll take place Feb. 3-10 aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line ship Pearl as she sails from Miami to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands and the delightful Caribbean gem Antigua.
Some of the other stars who'll perform during Cayamo include soul and gospel mainstay Mavis Staples, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco and Uncle Tupelo fame, Rodney Crowell, Raul Malo of the Mavericks and alt-country darling Allison Moorer. The line-up is really stacked with talent; also on board will be Hayes Carll, Jim Lauderdale, Lake Street Dive, Deer Tick, Anderson East, Buddy Miller, Soggy Bottom Boys, Ashley Monroe, Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors, Shawn Mullins, Steve Poltz, Dar Williams, Watkins Family Hour, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Molly Tuttle, Wilder Woods, the Quebe Sisters, the Wailin' Jennys and many others.
Most artists, including Wilson, will perform at least two shows. Crowell will perform several times; in an acoustic trio format, with his full band, and a special 'conversation and song' show with Moorer. There'll be a gospel show, jam sessions and a Q&A with Wilson and fellow Beach Boy Al Jardine. And for those who'd like to start their day off with some calming tai chi, Lauderdale will lead sessions several times during the trip. All the usual amenities of the Pearl will be available too, including lots of dining options, swimming pool and hot tub, casino and fitness center.
Cruisers will have a wide range of shore excursions to choose from when the ship reaches St. Croix and Antigua, including beach visits, island tours, and on Antigua, a tour of the island by helicopter. Excursions may be purchased on board or in advance of the sailing.
Cayamo is produced by Sixth Man, the same folks that also produce Joe Bonamassa's Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea cruises, The Kiss Kruise, The Rock Boat, The Outlaw Country cruise, Train's Sail Across the Sun, the Melissa Etheridge cruise, Coheed and Cambria's S.S. Neverender cruise and many others.
