The band lists influences that include Queens of the Stone Age and Motorhead, and you can hear a bit of Lemmy (from Motorhead) in Jiritano's vocals. This is not smooth, soft rock. Instead, the Lord Sonny the Unifier, to borrow a phrase from an X song, chose to make the music go bang.
The band also looks to David Bowie as an inspiration, which might explain song titles like "The Starman" and "First in Space." Bowie's stellar explorations, though, were much more mercurial.
The world is messy right now, which makes a relatively messy collection of music like this one, perfectly appropriate. One doubts, though, this will be the 'final' recorded 'notice' we receive from Lord Sonny the Unifier.
