The Rhythm Coffin - Monster on My Back
This six-song EP is bookended by two versions of the perennial spooky favorite "The Monster Mash," the first being a cool version featuring monster growls and unhinged cackling along with guest vocals from Davey Suicide and Calico Cooper, who as Alice Cooper's daughter knows a little something about music and novelty horror. "Monster on My Back" is an eerie psychobilly romp, "Sleep When I'm Dead" has a rhythmic bounce that makes it a fun singalong and "Spooktacular Season's Greetings" looks forward to when all the good little ghosties and ghoulies get presents on "creepy Christmas" (best wishes for a haunted Hanukkah and kooky Kwanza are issued too.) This set of totally campy songs will bring listeners a smile any time of year.
