Half of the release was produced by Matt Odmark, guitarist for contemporary Christian group Jars of Clay, while the other half was handled by Geoff Hunker of Satellites & Sirens. The styles of these songs range from the gentle and acoustic -- and also sophisticatedly named -- "Omnipresent," to the slightly jazzy "Praises."
Praise and worship music used to be relegated to a kind of subcategory within Christian music. However, this music style now dominates contemporary Christian music, created with the same high production standards of pop music. Although sincere worship of God initially inspired these songs, this collection of songs is nevertheless right in step with even the most commercial Christian music.
Therefore, labeling the album merely a student project would be vastly missing the point. One can easily imagine most any of these songs being played on Christian radio, which is high and worthy praise, indeed.
