Nir is also a playwright, in addition to being a New York City based singer/songwriter, which is why her songs are always so theatrical. She even alludes to the acting world with "Film School," where she wonders out loud what another might have possibly learned in that specific learning institution.
Many will likely react to Nir's music the same way they might respond to an overly talkative girl at a bar. Chatterboxes can wear you out after a while. Perhaps a subtler approach in places might have been more effective. If nothing else, more variety should have been in order.
Nir is one talented artist; she just needs to reign it in a tad.
