Horse and Chariot - Big Treble

.
Horse and Chariot is a San Francisco trio. And though this is a 'modern' recording, these three songs sound like they could have also come from San Francisco's 60s heyday.

"Goin' Back Home, Minore Reprise" has a bit of rockin' boogie going for it. Michael Pabenburg provides the good time electric guitar. His solo on the latter tune hearkens back to the psychedelic era in rock & roll. "Live to Ride" is a song that could have easily fit into the film Easy Rider. It has the vibe of free wheelers, simply born to be wild. The song's lyrics aren't all that deep. But then again, do they really need to be? This is music to crank up and roll to, not to analyze. This project's title track is an instrumental. The song, even though it's only a second under three minutes, has multiple musical sections, ranging from slow and moody, to fast and rumbling.

You get the feeling this three-piece horse and chariot is really ready to rumble.
