Cary Morin - Cradle to the Grave

.
Morin is a singer and guitarist specializing in finger picking and Cradle to the Grave, where he works without accompaniment, is a chance to really hear the eloquence of his picking as well as enjoy the seasoned bluesman quality of his voice. Morin's lyrics speak to a time when life was simpler, or in the case of "Mishawaka," death.

And while Morin is adept at songwriting, he also offers a few well-chosen covers here in the delta blues of Willie Brown's "Mississippi Blues," a take on the Phish jam "Back on the Train" and Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U," which adapts surprisingly well to an acoustic blues. Order it here.
