The group's numeric album title, which would likely make Sesame Street's The Count pinker and prouder than previous, ranges from the pretty longing expressed through "In The Dark," to a spot-on David Bowie tribute ("Bowie"), which was likely written and recorded before that icon's untimely death.
In contrast to some of their more rocking, punkish heroes, The Tigerlillies are a bit more on the gentle side of the sonic spectrum. These six songs are built upon driving electric guitar riffs, which powers the act's melodic pop.
Unquestionably, 123456 adds up to an irresistible rock & roll party.
