Holly Norman - Taking Care of Bluegrass: A Tribute to Elvis

.
Singer and guitarist Norman got the idea to do an Elvis Presley tribute album during a visit to Graceland and what a good idea it was; here she presents "grassed up" interpretations of a dozen songs associated with Presley, including a sped up take on "CC Rider" and other favorites like "Viva Las Vegas," "Suspicious Minds," "In the Ghetto" and "Love Me Tender"/"Are You Lonely Tonight."

Norton also got some of Presley's famed sidemen to contribute to the album; guitarist James Burton plays on "Kentucky Rain" and Terry Blackwood & the Imperials sing back-up on several tracks. A 13th track is an original tribute; the Norman-penned "Long Live the King."
