Despite a few of the singles being over-played to death on the radio, I still listened to it constantly because I thought a lot of the "B" Sides on this album were much better songs than the singles that were released off the record.
A lot of people don't know that even though this one only peaked out @ #25 on The Billboard 200, it stayed on the charts for 104 weeks after its release. It featured three Top Ten singles, "Semi-Charmed Life", "Jumper" & "How's It Going To Be" and the album itself went 6X Platinum. I think my favorite songs on this one is "God Of Wine" & "Motorcycle Drive By" These two songs close out the record but this critic believes it's the reason you listen to an album from beginning to end.
Third Eye Blind stamps the record with that Melancholy feel I think the band wanted you to be left with. The album plays out kind of like a real life situation (like the death of a friend). At first one might be experiencing a ton of anger. But after the anger wears off, all one feels is sorrow.
