Steve Benjamins - Sightlines
One called "Steamroller," for instance, is not at all what you might think its title implies. Instead of extolling the powerful virtues of a working steamroller, Benjamins, instead, creates the mood of a quiet ride down a lazy river. Like such a journey, Benjamins takes his time singing it by many times stretching out his syllables and also leaving plenty of space between his words.
You cannot title an EP with Sightlines without also having some sort of vision. Benjamins has a clear aim for his music, which is to quiet the mind and (hopefully) increase focus. If you give this pretty music the chance, it will calm you down and intensify your perspective. Music like this kind is priceless.
