Attik Door - Never In Agreement
The punkish spirit of "Bleed," with its pummeling bass line, brings to mind a female-led Stooges. There is also a Rage Against The Machine influence on this particular song. Maybe it's the San Francisco in 'em, but this album has a sort of 60s hard rock vibe going for it; dating back before the sad days when the heavy metal genre turned much of heavy rock into a stereotypical joke. No joke with Never In Agreement, though. These five players are completely serious, and seriously good.
There aren't a lot of love songs on this effort. Instead, there's a whole lot of anger and energy. This is music to get your aggression out and break something. (Preferably, that broken something isn't some body). Just good, clean, violent fun, please.
