With that said, though, one song "Oh Angel" does feature sitar on it. However, Mathur's vocal is so 'American-ized,' it actually sounds like he's the India visitor, rather than the native. It's funny because in iTunes the track "Latin Lover" comes up as 'Latin' music, even though the track is actually a kind of lounge-y, jazzy number. Maybe this has something to do with the word 'Latin' in the song title.
For "My World (SOS To The World)," Mathur is joined by a choir of children for a song that - just as its title suggests - is a sort of SOS to the universe. If the universe is listening this cry for help, it's difficult to imagine it ever saying 'no' to such a sincere plea.
Due to his unique international credentials, perhaps Mathur is one of the best possible spokespersons for our troubled planet.
Ajay Mathur - 9 to 3
