Led by vocalist/rapper Adam Cruz, the album features the anger of thrash metal and gangsta rap, along with musical element drawn from both genres. The work's title track sounds a lot like early Southern California punk, even through the five-piece band is actually from New York. Cruz has said, "New York City can be the most unforgiving place in the world if you let it beat you." You get the impression from this music's relentless fighting spirit, however, that Xombie is one band that will never be defeated by New York City or any other foe.

Give the act credit - these guys are consistent. Like a fighter going in for the kill, aiming for nothing short of a knockout, this release is one severe body blow.
