Knot Fest
August 17/18, Council Bluffs, Iowa/Somerset, Wisconsin

This festival is a little unusual in that it takes place in two different places with the Friday, August 17 show happening in Council Bluffs and the Saturday, August 18 finale going down in Somerset, Wisconsin which is just over the border from greater Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. Slipknot curates and headlines the line-up which will also feature Lamb of God, Deftones, Machine Head, Serj Tankian, Cannibal Corpse, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Urge, Prong and Gojira. Fire breathers and "nightmarish creatures on stilts" will also add to the fun. www.knotfest.com

Suwannee Valley Flood Jam

This event to be held at the Suwannee Music Park is a relief effort for these folks and will feature performances from Peter Rowan, The Lee Boys, Jamie Davis, the Swingin' Johnsons, the Heavy Pets, Donna the Buffalo, the Legendary JC's, the Funky Seeds, DJ Triclops, Vlad the Inhaler, C-Minus and about a dozen others. www.musicliveshere.com
