Tiffany Thomas, who was at the concert when shots rang out, was inspired to start a Facebook group--'58 Survivors 1 Last Set"--for fellow survivors of the horrific event.
"After it happened, all I could think about was Jason Aldean," Thomas told 13 Action News in Vegas about that fateful night. 'I kept thinking like he was up there, he was on that stage, he was singing for us."
Another Route 91 survivor, Gina McKin, joined the group, and soon the women had an idea: a Shutterfly book that they would make specifically for Aldean.
The 91-page book is loaded with photos from the event before the shooting destroyed the festival and so many lives of those in attendance. The ladies are sending the book and some other gifts along to Aldean with the request for Aldean to return to Vegas for a special show for Route 91 survivors and the families of the victims. "I'm so proud of my dad and so glad his music is still being enjoyed and recognized in the music community. He always put his heart and soul into every song he ever sang," said Ashley Campbell.
Written by Nelson 57 years ago, "Funny How Time Slips Away" was recorded for Campbell's Grammy -nominated farewell album, Adis, released in June 2017 via UMe to rave reviews. The collaboration between longtime friends takes on a new gravitas as the two trailblazers reflect back together on where the years went. Hailed by Rolling Stone as "a marvelous, albeit heartbreaking, tribute to their enduring love and respect for one another," the song is even more significant following Campbell's death last year from Alzheimer's. In November, the collaboration won the Country Music Association Award for Musical Event of the Year. Stream the song

For the album, Lana recorded "You Must Love Me," originally written for the film version of Evita which starred Madonna. Webber won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for the track and Madonna has performed the song on a number of subsequent world tours. On the record, Lana brings her signature breathy, cinematic flair to the stirring ballad.
The singer called making the record in honor of Sir Andrew "a dream."
"Andrew Lloyd Webber has been one of my primary inspirations in music, so to do a cover of one of his songs is a dream," she said. 'I especially love this particular song, You Must Love Me, because of how unique the melody is. I've been incredibly inspired by all of Andrew's work from Phantom of the Opera to Evita."
