'I always say she's the best ever, best female ever in hip-hop, hands down, facts. There's no getting around it," he told Rap-Up TV. 'There's levels to this s. Very much levels to this s. She's an elite."
Birdman added that he meant "no disrespect" to other women in the game, but Nicki's catalog (and industry success) speaks for itself. In the past, Minaj has beefed with Lil' Kim and Remy Ma about who's the cream of the crop.
Nevertheless, Birdman says Nicki is doing her own thing -- and doing it better than any woman in history. 'Sometimes, you can put Nicki in a room with males on a rap, but if you put her on females, it's nothing," he said. 'She's a monster in her own race." Read more

He sounded the alarm on social media on Wednesday (Feb. 28), with a customarily dramatic video. It would make sense that Khaled wants to get a jump on beach season. He pretty much dominated the summer of 2017 with "Wild Thoughts," his Santana-sampling smash featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller.
The full-length it came from, Grateful, was released in June of last year and shot straight to the top of the Billboard albums chart. What kind of crafty new tricks Khaled has poised for the new year will start to be revealed this Friday. Watch the video

I wrote this song the first night I moved to Nashville. November 16th, 2016. I showed up to my new (sight unseen) apartment with an air mattress, two suitcases, and a guitar. The rest of my stuff wasn't arriving from NYC for another two weeks. I had driven all day, found my local wine store (because... priorities), and finally showed up to this empty space in this new town where I basically knew no one... having left my whole life up to that point behind me
Backstory... There was this guy I left behind in NYC. Well, I didn't really leave him behind. He was never mine. But we were meant to know each other. No doubt about it. I think we both knew it. The synchronicity was ridiculous... you wouldn't believe me if I told you. Anyway, I think maybe we both kept scaring each other away. Or maybe I'm just crazy... still not sure. But crazy or not, I honestly always thought something would happen between us, and in my fantasy, we would move to Nashville together. But there were a lot of missed opportunities between us, and at a certain point, I just couldn't hold out for him and I needed to move forward with my life. So I moved. And the night that I pulled into town, I stepped out on my balcony (which was a luxury that I never had in NYC) and in the distance, I could faintly hear the highway. I was feeling all the feelings -- I was exhilarated and scared and uncertain and pretty sad about leaving without dealing with my feelings. I was standing there wishing that maybe he would follow me down here. And then I wrote this song. A year later, I had a collection of songs ready to be recorded and "Highway" needed to be on it. It's the first song I wrote in Nashville, and it made it on my first EP. It's just a very honest song about regret and feeling like you have no control over a situation.
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the EP

"Azukita" is the latest track from Aoki and Daddy Yankee that features slick beats and rapid fire singing from Crespo and Play-N-Skillz. If the song itself doesn't entice listeners to dance, the video surely will.
Directed by Tyler Dunning Evans and produced by Matt Pfeffer, "Azukita" finds Aoki and Daddy Yankee transported into a video game where they build their teams and compete with each other through dance battles.
The four-minute clip includes a performance by dancer and choreographer Brian Esperon alongside others at SKIP Entertainment located in Guam, who are well-known for their viral dance videos on Youtube. Watch to find out who wins the epic dance battle

"I never release a song without the intention of stepping up to the plate and knocking it out of the park," said Owen in a press release on the new music. "When I first heard 'I Was Jack (You Were Diane),' I thought, 'How can I do this and re-create what is already a classic song?' But the more I listened to it, the more I saw my own life growing up."
"The original 'Jack & Diane' was about 'two American kids growing up in the heartland' and that image is exactly what so many country songs are based on. Plus, the most important thing to me and my team is that we sent the song to Mellencamp and he digs the track. Getting his stamp of approval sealed the deal for me that this song should be our debut single."
With its familiar melody, country-rock groove and hand claps, the music is a clever combination of the past and present, just like the lyrics.
The surprise track, 'Something To Ride To," is a mid-tempo number about losing a girl and wanting to hear one song on the radio that doesn't make the vocalist sad or think about love lost.
'Give me something to ride to/ and forget about life to/ the kind you want to get high to/ lay back in the night to/ Yeah, used to be dance halls/ slow jams and romance songs/ but now that she's gone and the radio's on I just want one that don't sing about her/ Give me something to ride to."
Owen will kick off his Life's Watcha Make It tour on May 18 in Chattanooga, Tennessee with Chris Janson and Jordan Davis. Check out Owen's new tracks
