In addition to the broken bone, Underwood suffered facial injuries that required more than 40 stitches. She called the event a "freak accident" and thanked her fans for their support.
Carrie made the revelations in a letter to her fan club, obtained by People. "I haven't been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up," she wrote. 'In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I'll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike [Fisher, Underwood's husband] that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in."
"I honestly don't know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn't much, much worse. And I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way." Read more

"This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album that I've written, where I'm from. And it's personal," the Memphis, Tennessee native says in a promotional video that dropped today (Jan. 2).

The first track from Timberlake's new release is expected to arrive this Friday, Jan. 5. Later in the afternoon, Justin released what is presumably the album's cover artwork. Watch the clip

"It was worse than people realized," Braun told the Wall Street Journal. "I failed him day after day. We were living in hell because he was in such a dark place.I have inconveniences, and other people have problems. Mine feel important, but they're not. They're not life or death. Justin's stuff got to a point where it was a problem."
Braun says their relationship "really struggled." Nevertheless, the manager (whose clients include Ariana Grande and Carly Rae Jepsen) said his job was to be Bieber's "rock" on his journey. According to Braun, naysayers in the music business thought Bieber's moment in the spotlight was over for good.
"Some of the biggest people in the industry, people invested in Justin's career, told me, 'It's over. Focus on something else. That kid is done,'" he said. "I made a promise to him when he was 13 that I would never give up on him. I plan on keeping that promise." Read more

"I was on the stage. I had just walked up on the stage with a couple friends of mine, including Luke Combs, another artist who had played earlier, and we were literally standing 50 feet from where Jason was on stage, and all of a sudden, you heard what sounded - it was kind of a thing where you were like, 'Was that gunfire?' - and it got faster and faster, almost like it was an automatic rifle," Owen said in a call this morning to the Today Show.
"You could hear it ringing off the rafters off the top of the stage," he continued. "That's when you saw people fleeing. At that point, everyone onstage just started running everywhere possible. And it was pretty chaotic, for sure."
The country star couldn't get to his bus, so he looked for the nearest cover. 'I kind of just ran like everyone else," he said. "At one point, I was crouched down behind a cop car with about 20 other people that had come to the show, and everyone's asking if everyone's okay. There's blood on people, and you could see a couple folks on the street that looked like they'd been shot lying there. It was chaotic. It was literally like a movie that you feel like you've seen before that's not real life."
The country singer stressed how frightening the situation was. "We tend to - we live this life of not being scared, which I think is great, but you know, this is reality these days. This stuff's really happening. We were all scared." Read more

In an interview with Fallon following her performance, she explained why she decided to begin her week-long residency on the show with that particular track.
"There is no love without freedom. I think about that when these tragic events happen," she said. "What is music if we can't go see our favorite artist perform because we're scared of violence, or we're scared of losing someone that we love to go to a concert or go see a film? I think right now we're supposed to be 'Land of the Free' but we can't have freedom if we're constantly living in fear. Never bow down to bullies and stand up for what's right. Constantly share hope instead of encouraging any more fear."
The singer closed the show with her poignant song "The Climb." The afternoon before the performance, Cyrus tweeted that her Tonight Show appearance would strive to help heal a wounded nation and encourage peace. Read more

"I like the situation I'm in at the moment, it's pretty great," Sheeran revealed during the exclusive interview. When asked if Seaborn could be "the one," the singer was unequivocal in his response.
"Undoubtedly, undoubtedly," he said. "But I think if you ever enter into a long-term relationship and you have a doubt, then you shouldn't be in the long-term relationship."
Sheeran went on to reveal that he never thought he'd find himself with someone from his high school days: "I actually always thought I'd end up dating like an actress or something, someone in the industry," he explained. "But I don't think I'm that kind of person. I'm a hometown boy."
He went on to detail how Seaborn inspired the song "Perfect" after a wild night at the Ibiza home of his friend, James Blunt. "We got really hammered and took our shoes off and danced on his lawn and then jumped in the pool," Sheeran revealed. "And then the next day I was like, 'that's a cool story,' so I put it in a song." "I want them to not be so dismissive towards the women that are speaking out," Jones said. "We're not just rolling over out of bed and saying, 'Hmm, let me just make up a story about R. Kelly today. Let me make it sound similar to something that he's already been accused of and put my own remix to it just [because] I want some attention.' [Anyone who has spoken out] has gotten annihilated in the press [and] from fans."
