"I have so many different songs, I don't know how to talk totally about the album yet," she tells the publication. "I haven't picked what songs are making the album, I definitely have my favorites. I can still beat what I've got and experiment in different places without any of the pressure.

"Just Feels Good" happened when I had an idea to write a song using emojis as lyrics. When producer, and "it's complicated" soon to be ex, Richard Maheux sent me his track I knew it would be a perfect fit for the experiment. The track had a bright rainbow after a thunderstorm vibe with it's minor to major chord resolutions. There was something sad but warm about it. I wanted to juxtapose the feeling of the track with some very basic lyric about feeling good. I certainly wasn't in a good place when I wrote the song. But somehow I knew I could write my way out of it and I could always return to the song and feel good when I listened in the future.
So Richard and I, whilst breaking up, managed to keep our sh*t together enough to get the song finished. Him and I recorded most of the background vocals in the living room of his apartment. It was mid summer and very hot. I remember both of us being shirtless when we multi tracked the "Ahhhs". Because of the noise we had to keep the AC off. I recorded the verses in my home studio, also shirtless.
I think we can all relate to this song. Every so often you feel that light. You feel it from within. It emanates and people respond to it. And when they do their own light shines from within. It's contagious. It just feels good.
"Swipe": The track for "Swipe" was created by Joshua Valleau, a long time collaborator and co producer of most of my new album. I was using the Tinder app at the time and feeling the Tinder burn. Robotically I'd go through countless faces by the minute as my thumb worked overtime to discard undesirables to the left. Becoming more and more resentful of the patterns I was seeing in their profile pictures, I decided to make a satire song on the subject. The tiger, the fish, the drink in hand, the mountain climbing, the surfing, the dog, the boat, the best man at wedding, the ball game, the drivers seat in parked car, are people really just sitting in their cars taking selfies all day? I think people are really just sitting ANYWHERE taking selfies all day. Anyway, all of these men just became the same dumb dude to me. This song is dedicated to the same dumb dude that is EVERY dude on Tinder.
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album

Directed by Tomas Alfredson, the movie centers around detective Harry Hole (played by Michael Fassbender) who investigates a serial killer nicknamed "The Snowman Killer."
"Voodoo In My Blood" provides the perfect soundtrack for the trailer, as Fassbender's character races against the clock to find the sadistic murderer. Rosamund Pike stars in the original music video for the song, which is pretty disturbing itself. The clip was inspired by the 1981 horror movie, Possession Meets Phantasm.
The Snowman features performances from Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg and J.K. Simmons, and will hit theaters Oct. 20. Watch the trailer and "Voodoo In My Blood" video

Since her debut Born to Die, subsequent releases Ultraviolence and Honeymoon have only deepened and enriched her persona and unique point-of-view.
Del Rey's penchant for irony and noirish arrangements don't fail her on Lust for Life, her excellent new album that finds the singer-songwriter sticking to what she knows best. With 16 tracks and major collaborators like the Weeknd and Stevie Nicks, Lana continues to make music on her own terms.
Here are of our favorite songs on Lust for Life: "Beautiful People Beautiful Problems" featuring Stevie Nicks. Lana Del Rey's style is an unapologetic jukebox of influences, from Hollywood's Golden Age to the sunny California rock of the 1970s. On "Beautiful People Beautiful Problems," Lana teams up with Stevie Nicks for a haunting, bewitching duet. "Working on your song has changed me forever because I've learned from you. We are witchy sisters and that's it," Nicks told Del Rey in V Magazine.
"Summer Bummer" featuring A$AP Rocky & Playboi Carti: Del Rey's lackadaisical vocals get a jolt of energy on "Summer Bummer" when A$AP Rocky and Playboy Carti turn up on their rap verses. Special guests are a welcome addition and lend variety to Lust for Life. See the other favorites
