So Richard and I, whilst breaking up, managed to keep our sh*t together enough to get the song finished. Him and I recorded most of the background vocals in the living room of his apartment. It was mid summer and very hot. I remember both of us being shirtless when we multi tracked the "Ahhhs". Because of the noise we had to keep the AC off. I recorded the verses in my home studio, also shirtless.

I think we can all relate to this song. Every so often you feel that light. You feel it from within. It emanates and people respond to it. And when they do their own light shines from within. It's contagious. It just feels good.

"Swipe": The track for "Swipe" was created by Joshua Valleau, a long time collaborator and co producer of most of my new album. I was using the Tinder app at the time and feeling the Tinder burn.
