In the years that followed, through his time spent with One Direction and into his budding solo career, one thing has remained constant between the two artists -- a little friendly teasing.
Over the weekend the pair were in the building at The Voice Australia in Sydney and were snapped in a video for Katy's Instagram story which she captioned, '@niallhoran stage 5 clinger" and jokingly accuses him of following her around everywhere. In the video, he agrees.
Post show, Niall was interviewed by Australia's The Project TV and was asked about that video, as well as another interview in which Katy flat-out says Niall is 'always trying to get my number to maybe flirt with me, but, like, 'I could babysit you. I'm like your mom.'"
Niall once again took the joke in stride, addressing Perry directly while laughing, "Katy, please stop being mean to me." "She's just finding any excuse now to just patronize me and go around spreading rumors about me," he continued. "I just want to be her friend." Read more

Portions of the letter (which is now up for auction) are redacted but Tupac wrote that while an interracial relationship could help Madonna's career, he worried about hurting his reputation in the eyes of black audiences.
"Can u understand that? For you to be seen with a black man wouldn't in any way jeopardize your career, if anything it would make you seem that much more open & exciting," he wrote. "But for me at least in my previous perception I felt due to my 'image' I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was. I never meant to hurt you."
Inflammatory statements Madonna made in the press didn't make matters easier, Pac wrote: "An interview where you said 'I'm off to rehabilitate all the rappers & basketball players' or something to that effect, those words cut me deep seeing how I had never known you to be with any rappers besides myself," he wrote. "It was at this moment out of hurt and a natural instinct to strike back and defend my heart and ego that I said a lot of things'Can you feel me?" Read more

In a Facebook post from Sam Esty Rayner, who is Morrissey's nephew, Rayner wrote that the former Smiths frontman was stopped by a police officer and asked for his "papers."
According to the post, the officer kept Morrissey for 35 minutes, demanding that he show him papers, shouting loudly, acknowledging he knew who the musician was and even brandished his firearm. Morrissey told the officer, "I know the law, I know my rights, and you have no reason to stop me."
Commenting on the situation, Morrissey wrote, "This was a deliberate act of terror by this Officer, who had no personal identification, but whose Polizia 113 motor-bike had the plate G2458. I had not broken the law or acted suspiciously." Check out the full post

Rogers recently recorded the special hour long interview segment with RFD-TV anchor Christina Loren and discussed a number of topics including his to discuss his life, legacy, current final world tour, "The Gambler's Last Deal" and plans for the future.
"I really enjoyed sitting down with Christina for a great conversation," said Kenny Rogers. "She was very thoughtful in her questions. In looking back over my career as I prepare to retire from the road, it was fun for me to relive some of the moments brought up in the interview that I don't think about all that often. I can't thank the fans enough for all of their support. It's allowed me to do what I love all of these years."
"Before the cameras started rolling Kenny let me know that no subject was off-limits. As the story of his remarkable life unfolds, he fearlessly opens up about his greatest moments along with moments of weakness," said RFD-TV anchor, Christina Loren. Sonic diversity rules on the new collection, from the R&B grooves in the sizzling opener, "Rising Moon," to jumping rockers ("Firewood and Candles," "Rock Out on the Sea"), to fun tracks ("Leah: The Sequel") to exquisite and rich tunes (such as "Letters in the Rain," "Petrichor"). Life Is Fine is one of Kelly's strongest and most evocative albums, another treasure to sit proudly on the shelf beside any of his earlier classics.
Kelly agrees about the comparison with those albums he made with the Messengers, such as Gossip and So Much Water So Close To Home. "I was aware of that as we were making it," Kelly says. "The guitar riff at the start of "Firewood and Candles" (the first single/focus track) is like a Sunnyboys song. Those kind of guitar lines, nothing fancy but really strong, are like the ones Steve Connolly used to play with the Messengers. I can see a lot of parallels to those records I was making then.''
