'I must tell you, I am retiring this year," Franklin told a Detroit TV station. The yet-untitled record will be produced by Stevie Wonder and is scheduled to be released in September. The Queen of Soul said the album will be an homage to Detroit and will feature original songs recorded in the Motor City.
"I feel very, very enriched and satisfied with respect to where my career came from and where it is now," Franklin said. 'I'll be pretty much satisfied, but I'm not going to go anywhere and just sit down and do nothing. That wouldn't be good either." Read more

Directed by Trey Fanjoy, "We Should Be Friends" was shot at a beauty parlor in Watertown, Tennessee. Looking a bit worn down from all her troubles, Miranda--with her hair piled high atop her head--and her dog makes its way towards Wanda's House of Beauty, where she gets made over and makes friends while doing it.
Lambert's longtime songwriting partners Natalie Hemby and Waylon Payne, who helped her co-write most of the tracks on The Weight of These Wings both appear in the video. Instead of curlers, Wanda uses Miller Lite cans to give Hemby's hair a bit more body, and Payne gets a shave that leaves him with a classic 5 o'clock shadow. Watch the video

With his trademark machine gun sound effect, Desiigner lays down quick rhymes for his first drop in 2017. Besides featuring fierce bass throughout the track, "Outlet" samples horns to give it a slick edge.
"Everybody trying to rip the coke up/ Get it back to the Tri-state, get it back to the Tri-state, get it back to the Tri-state," Desiigner raps toward the end of a verse, growing increasingly passionate by the end of the last line.
"Outlet" switches gears in the last minute, segueing into a brooding, synth- and bass-heavy finale with Desiigner repeating, "All out champion, fall out champion, ball out champion. Word." Check it out

"Skittles bouncing off the ground same time the blood drop/ And they wondering why we killing, s I wish we would stop/ How the judge gon judge me, when love don't love me/ My cell is getting cold and my future looking ugly," he raps in the snippet.
In another verse, Meek mentions losing his friends to gun violence. "They even killed my homies/ They murdered Lil Snoop/ He was only 18, all he wanted was a coop." "I'll be watching the GRAMMYs, absolutely, on Sunday," Reynolds tells Radio.com about his upcoming evening of decadence. 'In fact, I'm calling I'm calling it 'Indulgent Night,' I'm getting all our friends together and we're basically bringing loads of cookies and donuts and Nutter Butter bars--all the stuff you loved in school--Lucky Charms--everybody's bringing just the most indulgent type food they can find."
But when it comes to rooting for fellow musicians, Reynolds honed in on this year's battle royale between Beyonce and Adele, who are going to head-to-head in the Album of the Year category. "Jay Z and Beyonce are just like--I'm pretty die-hard," says Reynolds enthusiastically. 'I go back pretty deep on their catalogs and I've met them and talked to them and they're both beautiful, incredible people so I'd probably have to root for Beyonce but I would say that obviously Adele is a force to be reckoned with and I wouldn't be mad if she won either." The latest additions to her family will join her children David and Mercy, who were also adopted from Malawi. To keep the review process candid, Judge Fiona Mwale says she took Madonna off-script with some "uncomfortable questions."
Legal precedent for international adoption existed in Malawi thanks to Madonna's two previous adoptions. Nevertheless, the judge sought to determine Madonna's sincerity and weighed the consequences of sending children to live abroad.
"In determining her motives, I questioned the petitioner at length about the impact of her decision which could be construed as robbing Malawi of its most precious resource, its children," wrote Mwale. Read more
