As Ave tried to drive away a gunman unleashed several rounds into his red Maserati, CNN reports. The rapper (real name Roland Collins) was shot in the shoulder and a bullet grazed his head. His girlfriend, who was also in the car, was not hit. Collins was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn and went into surgery late Sunday night. He is reportedly recovering well.
The gunman remains at large, according to New York Police Department Lt. John Grimpel. Collins said the shooter wore a hoodie that hid his face. "Thankfully, he will survive the second attempt on his life," said Scott Leemon, an attorney representing Collins. "Tonight, Troy Ave was targeted againon Christmas. In Brooklyn, going to meet his family for the holiday, he was shot two times. As we have said from the beginning--he is a victim. We pray for his speedy recovery." Read more

In a heartfelt blog entry Monday (Feb 29) titled One Last Kiss, Rory, Joey's husband and singing companion, passed along a message from their hospice nurse explaining that Joey will "most-likely only be with us for a few more days at the most."
"Over the last number of weeks her pain had gotten worse and her health had continued to decline rapidly," explains Rory. "And not long after Indy's birthday my wife decided that 'enough is enough'. She was ready to stop fighting and she told me so. She said the flowers would soon be blooming back in Tennessee. It's time to go home."
"Joey gathered her family together around her and she said goodbye to each of them to her mother and father and her three sisters," explains Rory of the heart-wrenching moment. "There were lots of tears as she explained to each one how much she loved them and that she was going to be going home soon. That her time here was done and she was going to go to sleep soon. And then she asked me to bring our baby in. And so I set our little Indy on Joey's lap and we all cried with my wife as she told her how much her mama loved her and, "you be a big girl for your papa and that mama will be watching over you." And then she pulled Indiana up and she kissed her. One last kiss."
"A few more days In the 40 short years that Joey has lived, my bride has accomplished many great things she's lived a very full life," says Rory. "But even more than that, she has loved those around her greatly and been loved greatly in return. I can honestly say that Joey's isn't just a life well-lived, it's a life well-loved."
"God only gives each of us a certain amount of time to be on this earth and every day when we wake up, we get to decide how we are going to spend those precious minutes and hours," Rory professes. "There are no do-overs, no second-chances, no next-time-around's to get it right. Joey knew this and she has made each and every day count. One of the last things Joey said before she drifted into the deep sleep she's been in for a few days now is, "I have no regrets I can honestly say, that I have done everything I wanted to do and lived the life I always wanted to live." Here is what the group had to say, "Our hearts are heavy. We are devastated. This is something we weren't prepared for although we all know that life is fleeting. It was no secret about his health and his fight. But the fight for his joy and happiness gave him everything he needed. The fight to keep his family happy, his soul happy and those around him happy, gave him complete and unadulterated joy until he heeded his fathers call.
We love his family his mother, his father, his son, his wife, his nieces, his family here in New York, Atlanta, California and Trinidad. Thank you for the outpouring of prayers and support from the fans, fellow artists, music outlets, blogs, radio stations, DJ's, social media and the music community at large.
"This too is part of his joy and means a lot to him. His family is overwhelmed by the support, well wishes and are thankful. His music and what he's contributed is seismic and hard to measure. He's affected us as much as he's affected all of you.
"We're inspired by his daily joy and courage. He wasn't in pain. He was happy. We take comfort in knowing he will be beside his grandmother." Read the original report

The consummate professional unleashed a defense on Instagram, writing that the erratic behavior is just part of the performance and haters need to lighten up.
"Too bad people don't know the art of acting and playing a character," writes Madonna. "I could never do any of my shows high or drunk. And yes underlying all of this is sexism and mysongony which proves that not only do we not get equal pay [but] we are still treated like heretics if we step out of line and think outside the box!" The suit, which was filed in October 2015, is against InTouch Weekly. In response, the publication filed a motion in February saying the suit interferes with its first amendment rights. Now, Shelton is firing back.
"I do not drink excessively, binge drink or have a drinking problem ' I am never drunk, intoxicated or unable to perform my job on The Voice or elsewhere '," Shelton tells the court in a new filing. 'I did not do anything while 'wasted that destroyed [my] marriage' ' During our marriage, Ms. Lambert never begged, demanded or asked me to go to rehab ' I did not handle my first divorce by drinking, nor has my drinking increased or escalated since my divorce from Ms. Lambert."
In the motion from Feb., Bauer Publishing, which owns InTouch Weekly, defends its actions due to Shelton's self created drinking persona. Shelton addressed those claims in his most recent filing. "Contrary to Bauer's reporting, drinking has not taken a toll on my well-being," documents state. "I do not now, nor have I ever had, health problems caused by or related to drinking ' The Rehab Story is wrong that my friends, colleagues and team think I have a problem and need help. To my knowledge, nobody around me, including my managers, peers and work colleagues, and friends, thinks I have a drinking problem." Read the original report

Samuel Frisch was also shoved during the scene.
Cash Cash was unable to perform their set and Makhlouf was also forced to miss their following show to recover from the incident." Tyga's camp hasn't responded to the allegations. See Cash Cash's graphic tweets
