It isn�t an odd rumor, Adam Sandler is covering the David Bowie classic �Space Oddity� for his upcoming film, �Mr. Deeds�. 

The Sandler version of the song will appear in the film as well as kick off the accompanying soundtrack album. The film is a remake of the 1936 Frank Capra classic, "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town" that will star Sandler and Winona Ryder and is expected to hit theaters on June 28th. 

On the soundtrack side, the producers are packing it with plenty of star power with tracks from the Dave Matthews Band, Pete Townsend, U2, Lit, Weezer as well as David Bowie�s original version of �Space Oddity� according to published media reports.
