Walworth County Highway Committee denied the groups request for a permit because they believed the locale would not be able to handle the expected number of fans.
The concert dubbed A Grateful Dead Family Reunion was to include a performance by The Other Ones a group that features Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir, bassist Phil Lesh and drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann.
The former Dead members were expected to perform with their solo projects as well. Deadheads were expecting to see the remaining members of the group perform together on stage for the first time in seven years but unless they can find another venue those plans are in jeopardy.
